A: I feel like these are smaller than normal receiving blankets. I found they didn't really work for swaddeling my 8lb 5oz 21.5 inch newborn so I haven't really been able to use them much.

Cute but fall apart
The blankets are very cute, but they are think and the sewing around the outer edge is very poor. I washed them once on a hand wash cycle before I was going to use then for the baby, and the sewing along the edge already started to come apart and unravel. Having strings and sewing come apart does not bode well for how these will last going forward, and extra strings could get wrapped around the baby's hands or appendages and cut off circulation. I bought some Carter's brand from Kohl's, and the Carter's brand are much better quality and much larger (30"x40", whereas these are only 30"x30").

Too small to swaddle
These blankets are fine to be used just as little receiving blankets, but they are horrible as swaddles. They are way too small to be swaddles. We couldn’t even get them to fit our premie after just a week. Would absolutely not recommend if you are looking for actual swaddle blankets.

The blankets are a little on the thin side, but they washed well (only one washing so far.) Not so thin that they are see-through, but not super thick warm flannel, either. A nice blanket to have around for a hot day or to have extras to grab if other blankets are in the laundry. The colors are as pictured. The patterns are cheerful.

Can’t be used as a Receiving blanket
I love the colorful patterns but couldn’t even use as a receiving blanket for a newborn at the hospital since it is too small and can’t even wrap up the baby in it. I wish they had the cotton muslin swaddle in same pattern which is perfect to be used as the receiving blanket for your newborn
