Flat Soaker Hose, 25 - Gardener's Supply Company

Of the 5 I bought last summer, one still works. They are cheaply made and bust holes in them, even with the flow controls in place. Unless you want to spend your summer playing twister around your tomatoes and peppers I suggest buying soaker hose from another place

Lasted a week before it sprung a geyser.Cut it and shortened it and 2 days later broke again. complete crap. Cant get a hold of customer service anymore.

They include 3 plugs to moderate water pressure

I had previously purchased a soaker hose from you and it lasted 3 years. I purchased this hose on 5/28 and received it 6/6. This is the first time I have had to use it as we have been having rain. It has already sprung a leak in 2 places and it kinks very easily. I cannot use it.

Very useful in large garden that doesn't have sprinkler system.

I like that hoses are not made from the recycled tires

I would not waste your money. These did not even last a season. Hoses consist of an inner tube covered with canvas (?). The inner tubes split and are more like an open hose with none of the water going where needed. Also they kink terribly going around plants and must be staked everywhere.

Allow me to waste less water and put it where it is needed—at the roots of my plants.

We try to use the most effective methods in all areas of our flower farm and this soaker hose is an excellent purchase.

I have invested in quite a few lengths of this over the last 3 years for both my gardens and my Mom's. They degrade quickly, they develop leaks that make little geysers (some of them come with geysers right from the getgo), they don't water evenly, because of the geysers they lose pressure quickly before the water gets to the end...etc. They are all getting thrown out and I am going back to the old style rubber leaky hose.

It was great at first, but after 3 1/2 months, it split along the seam and spewed water everywhere. It no longer can be used at all. Definitely not a good product.

I am using it for the first time, so I can't speak to durability but it seems to be a quality soaker hose. I have to thank another reviewer for mentioning the flow regulator discs that are included. They're on the inside of the cardboard collar that holds the hose. I used one disc by removing the washer from the water supply end of the soaker hose and installing the 'two hole' disc (choices are one, two and three hole) in its place. I had used The Google to look up flow regulator discs. Then I turned the water faucet to 'barely on' to manage the water pressure. And now the soaker hose is releasing just the right amount of water all along its length - working perfectly (see photo.) From what I gather, these hoses are designed to work at low pressure and low flow in order to do their magic. How thoughtful of Gardener's Supply to include these discs instead of making us buy them separately. Although they might consider including a note on their use for those of us who are soaker hose challenged. Also, I did get one kink on the bend which I handled using a strategically placed landscape pin (see photo.) Bottom line, I REALLY like this hose and I hope it lasts a long time. Based on the perceived quality, I expect that it will.

Great for anyone who wants to conserve water and not "water" the plants instead of the ground.

I was specificially looking for 75 foot, flat drip hoses that could handle low water pressure. These fit the bill and water my veg rows perfectly. They aren't meant to go around curves.

I loved these hoses the first season but when I went to set up for this year they were gushing water from cracks and totally useless. What a waste of money.

I've tried all products on the market for farmers and home gardening and these are the absolute best for durability, function, and reparability. I do wish there was a repair kit specific to these hoses for mid tube breaks and end replacements, but I cobble parts together for repair. I use nothing else at this point.

Annoying to set up as it tangles and folds so easily. It has a nice hose connector instead of the usual leaky one. This would be best for rows rather then curves.

I was excited about this and how it worked but it broke after about 2 mos. Very disappointing

This is the third flat soaker hose that I have purchased. They weep evenly, go around corners better than the recycled rubber ones, and are less expensive to boot! They "collapse" and store better, too! Very happy with my purchases from Gardener's Supply!

Worked like a charm the first season. Hoses degraded during storage despite being rinsed, drained, looped loosely and hung on non-tearing hook in garage. When reinstalled next season the hoses were cracked in multiple places rendering them unusable.
