Q: I see people complaining that this shrinks. I'm wondering if that could be avoided if you just washed it and then hung it back up. I'd think putting it in the dryer would make it shrink. Or does it shrink from just washing it?
A: Mine shrunk 6 inches after washing and I never even put it in the dryer!
submitted bydesignlady - 4 years agoA: Everyone said it shrunk in cold water, hang dry and yet Target's answer was to maching wash and tumble dry; and if you prefer hang dry. Mine also shrunk after hanging dry by at least 6 inches.
submitted byHelen of Troy 201 - 2 years agoA: Mine shrunk about 5 inches! I just washed itfor the first time. I wash it in cold water and on the gentle cycle. I hung it up to air dry. I was surprised how much it shrunk.

The product is 100% cotton though, so it has the potential to shrink a little in the dryer. If you prefer, you could certainly hang it up to dry to be on the safe side. Have a great day! - Douglas

Q: Does this shower curtain require a liner? If not, would a liner help prevent mold?
A: I have used cotton shower curtains w/o a liner for years & never had any issues. Just made sure the shower is angled toward U, not the curtain & after shower, leave the closedcurtain in the tub to dry
