AWFUL texture, little flavor

These Foster Farms corndogs were awful. The texture of the hot dog was foamy and weird, with little to no flavor. The cornbread part was okay, but didn't taste like cornbread- the corn flavor was completely lost and was just kind of sweet (and not like honey). I'm usually pretty forgiving, but these were just NOT it. I didn't feel like I was eating real food.

No flavor, and bad texture

These have no corn meal flavor and the hot dog is bland. But the texture is bizarre, almost like uncooked batter and mushy hot dog. I'd guess the quality meat leaks grease when cooking and soaks into the coating. Terrible.

The inside was very strange. They cooked fine (they split in the microwave but all corn dogs do when cooked in the microwave) but the inside had this weird gooey film (similar to as if plastic wrap was melted) attached to the breading/hot dog. I assume it was to keep the breading and dog seperated but it was gross. Threw it out.

I purchased these because I was craving a corn dog and while at the store I decided to get these because they were slightly more cheaper than the State Fair brand. My issues with them are that they bust in the microwave and the wiener itself is gross-tasting, gross-looking, and the texture is off-putting. If you don’t read the box, it’s hard to tell what kind of meat is in them. Next time, I’ll spend the extra buck and buy the State Fair brand.

Had a craving for corn dogs, and these were considerably cheaper than State Fair brand. As other reviewers have noted, they’ll almost explode in the microwave after just getting warm. If you bake or air fry then, they’re almost burnt by the time you cook them long enough to get the hot dog warm. And then there’s the hot dog: it has an almost spongy consistency. I know what hotdogs are generally made of, but these ones are about the worst.

This is my first time writing a review, but that's how horrible these are, lol. They explode at 30 seconds, but beyond that the meat is disgusting. I mean, hot dogs are always kind of gross if you think about what they are, but if you're going to get them, I would suggest getting the State Fair brand instead.
