A ping pong ball is just that and can't be much different from others. But I do say be careful to make sure you get 12 in the box. The box cover opens easily and is not sealed with tape. Several boxes had fewer than expected and while I shopped online for pickup, I was given a shorted box and had to go inside anyway. (That was a Target staff issue more than the product itself.)
