My daughter is obsessed with unicorns, and wanted to have a unicorn theme for her bedroom and these have made a perfect addition. I made the rainbow set into book ends and the other ones into a hair bow organizer! I used regular acrylic paint from a craft store with a primer, and then added the glitter and a spray paint that’s specifically for sealing glitter. I was pleasantly surprised with how it all turned out and the quality of the wood!

The Freestanding Wood Unicorn - Mondo Llama was a fun craft I painted with my daughter. My daughter has a room decorated with unicorns and this was a perfect addition. The unicorn was easy to paint. It came out beautifully.

Adorable wooden unicorn makes for a fun weekend painting project for your elementary age child! You might wish to sand outer edges with 400 grit sandpaper and use a water-based primer for a better finish. My daughter used the Mondo Llama acrylic paints and enjoyed applying her favorite colors.

This wooden unicorn is adorable. The dimensional design makes it really unique. I’m always looking for more screen-free fun to keep my kids (7&9) busy. I’ll definitely be getting more of these Mondo Llama crafts. We used extra paint we had left over from rock painting and it turned out great.

Cute little project! The different layers make it easier for little ones to be able to paint with multiple colors. My 5 year old who loves unicorns enjoyed painting it. While it does stand on its own nicely, it would have been awesome if it had some kind of hole in the back so it could be hung on the wall.
