Why Not Decaf?

I grind them for espresso and use my little Melitta to brew for either a straight up cup of coffee or the base for a latte. Either way, this dark roast is strong yet not bitter. I’m so glad to have found Fresh Roasted Coffee and am happy to support a fellow Pennsylvania company.

Quality & Complexity
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dark roast has some characteristics of a lighter roast. There are notes of toasted almonds and caramel. I find it to have more layers of flavor than some of the other beans I have tried from Fresh Roasted Coffee, making for a complex cup every time!

I like to make a 50/50 blend with my coffee to help reduce the amount of caffeine. Organic Black Knight is rich and smooth and is a great compliment to the full caffeine beans. Will purchase again!!

Yum! was leary of ordering this dark a roast; concerned about smoky flavor & bitterness neither of which i like. but Organic Black Knight Decaf (water processed) did not disappoint. at all! nice rich flavor without an unpleasant lingering aftertaste. will definitely order again!

This is the best organic, Swiss water processed decaf whole bean option I have found available at a reasonable price. Quality is consistent and I appreciate the offering of larger bulk quantities for a discount as we go through a lot of coffee in our home. Military discount is a bonus! FRC is our favorite source of clean organic coffee, both decaf and regular!

The dark boldness pairs nicely with cocoa. And its also smooth enough that sometimes I mix it with caffeinated coffee to make black half-caf in the morning.

The Best
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finding a dark water processed decaf coffee is hard to find. Finding one that actually tastes better than the caffeine version is nearly impossible. Enter FRC's Dark Knight water process Decaf. Amazing richness, smooth and not too much acidity for my tende gut. So many friends are surprised that it is Decaf. We primarily use it dripped and in our espresso machine. I buy it in 5 lb whole bean bags for home and Keurig cups for work. The best.
