I've had my 2 dogs on this food for 2 weeks and what a difference they are more energetic and are even losing weight,my redbone female is 8 and was very lethargic and did not want to do anything .know she's playing ball again and wrestling with her brother Theodore he is 6 a red cattle dog. And has lost 8 lbs and is very healthy looking now.They can't wait to eat .I feed it twice a day and they both lick their bowels clean..Great food it's really made a difference.😁

Unfortunately, I used to love this food for my dog, but with the recent recipe changes, I had noticed her scratching and itching like crazy. My vet asked if anything had changed with her diet, which led me to investigate on their website that they had added Rosemary to their food. I knew something had changed because it looked and smelled different and not in a good way. My dog can no longer eat this food.

Bought a bag of FreshPet from Walmart expire date is 10/29/2025. Fed small amount to our dog twice and then noticed there is mold on the pet food. We have discarded nearly a full bag of the "not so fresh" pet food. Disappointed customer. May need to look into your cold chain process to make sure quality is not compromised.

I had to return this a bunch of times thought it was just bad. Found out they changed the reciepe. Tried to contact Fresh Pet, horrible customer service...My dogs won't eat it and it smells rancid and smokey. Don't fix something that isn't broken! Guess we will be looking for a new food...

Why did you change this recipe. We have been using your food for 6 years and just recently noticed a Smokey rancid smell to the food we were feeding our dogs which they will not eat. After buying and returning multiple bags because it looked and smelled bad I went onto your website and realized you changed your recipe. Well it’s absolutely awful. You’ve lost a customer and now I’m in search of a new food for both my senior dogs. Don’t fix what’s not broken! Go back to the old recipe!!

The last few bags we bought have a smell that seems like the food has been smoked. My dogs do not like the strong smell. They are reluctant to eat it. I have to remove carrots because both dogs throw them up now. They are not digestible. Now his smokiness is not appealing. I rinse the food with hot water to remove some of the smell. If this keeps up I will have to change brands. The original recipe was good. You need to reduce the carrots not increase them. Lose the smokiness.

I don't know what you did to the recipe, but I don't like the change and neither do my dogs. I've been buying this for years, and it always smelled good, but now it almost smells rotten. I returned the first couple I bought because I thought they were spoiled until I searched online and seen that you changed the recipe. Please go back to the way it was so I can continue buying it.

I have been feeding my dog this recipe for years. So here’s a question for you FreshPet—why fix what ain’t broken? This now smells like smoke and is dark. My dog does not like it. I am so bummed out! It used to smell like human fresh food. It now smells like so many other dog foods. Which my dog won’t eat. ☹️
