Lee, this dual-tube preamp delivers the signature tones of Friedman amplifiers, combined with impulse response technology for studio-quality direct output. Whether on stage or in the studio, the IRJ offers incredible flexibility and high-voltage tube tone in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format.Two Independent Channels With True Tube PowerEquipped with two foot-switchable channels, the IRJ features fully independent volume, gain and EQ controls for each. Channel 1 delivers classic British-voiced cleans, while Channel 2 cranks up the gain for signature high-gain Jake E. Lee tones. Powered by two 12AX7 preamp tubes, both channels provide true tube-driven tone, not a simulation.Advanced Impulse Response for Studio-Quality SoundWith integrated IR technology, the IRJ gives studio-quality miked cabinet sounds without the need for additional gear. Load and recall favorite IRs or use one of the 18 Friedman custom IRs included. The low-latency response and three-way IR selector switch allow seamless integration into both studio and live rigs.Built-in Boost for Expanded Tonal RangeEach channel of the IRJ is equipped with its own TS-style boost circuit, offering additional tone-shaping possibilities.
