Featuring Automatic exposure and Flash control, the INSTAX WIDE 400 instant camera takes high-quality images, while you focus on filling the wide frame to perfection. By rotating the dial, you can set two second increments of up to ten seconds, press the shutter button and pose until the magic happens (with the LED countdown, it’s easy to keep track of the time). To get that perfect angle, the INSTAX WIDE 400 instant camera comes with a Camera angle adjustment accessory. With its two height options you can pick the angle you want, slide the Camera angle adjustment accessory under the camera into the custom-fit space, set the Self-timer and step back into the frame. Rotate the lens dial to seamlessly turn the camera on and off and switch between Focus Modes. No, the Fujifilm Instax WIDE 400 is a purely analog instant camera, so you cannot preview or view the photos before they print.
Once you press the shutter button, the camera immediately exposes the film and ejects the physical print. You don't get a chance to review, edit, or decide whether to print, which is part of the fun (and occasional frustration) of traditional instant photography.

Photo issue
The camera is huge but the main problem is it doesn’t take the photo, it starts blinking and then it doesn’t snap the shot. I have to take the batteries out and reinsert them in order for it to work. It’s brand new so that shouldn’t have been an issue.

Ejection arm was weak from factory
Used their batteries and Duracell batteries but everytime I would take a picture, the ejection arm that lifts the film would get caught on the film and get stuck. Sometimes even unlatching from the lifter. Wasted 2 film cartridges, which is 20 films +2 how they advertise it. Trash. This is why I’m sticking with Polaroid.

The WIDE 400 feels very solid in hand. I really appreciate the improved design and the included close-up lens attachment—it makes a huge difference for portraits. Self Timer doesn't work.
I am so annoyed that it didn’t work for me. I got this cam couple weeks ago for a Christmas’ Present for my son and I but the feature that sold me to this camera was the self timer. And it is the only thing that doesn’t work heh heh. I changed batteries and watched tutorial videos and nothing. I’m literally waiting for the store to open so I can go and return it. I don’t think I want to get another camera.*rolling my eyes* the pic quality is not great (testing shots were blurry).

I just love this camera. A lot of people hate on it for the lack of functionality, but for my uses, it's perfect. I just want to take a quick pause during special moments to snap a photo. I don't want the moment to turn into exposure triangle calculation and other photography technicalities. Since I can't sit there and mess around with exposure compensation and shutter speed etc. I just take the photo and get back to the moment. Yes you'll get some some bad photos that could have been good had you had more controls, but it's not a huge drawback for me. I end up liking a lot of the "bad" photos. In our world of everything being so polished and perfect, they emanate character and charm. I get tons of use out of the timer. I even love how comically huge this camera is. People are always interested when I bust it out. I have captured many beautiful moments and adventures with this camera and am looking forward to many more.

I'm beyond happy with my camera. I received it early. Ordered it around July Something got it the day of my birthday August 1. It was a beautiful surprise because I didn't think I was gonna be able to use it on my birthday. Definitely worth it. The qualitie is great. The pictures come out beautiful. I had the original wide 300 and it broke. I still had some film so I used the 300 film on the new 400 and it worked perfect. GO GET YOURS NOW :)!

I’ve owned 2 and both had issues
This camera captures great quality however the battery compartment always seems to have an issue. There is a blinking error code that occurs when i close the camera and open it which doesn’t allow it to function. Researching the code I’ve found that the camera is having issues with the batteries. I adjust them, the camera works, rinse and repeat every time I go without using the camera more than an hour later. I have used other brands of batteries, replaced the film packs, stored the camera in safe conditioned spaces between uses and the same thing repeats over and over. I assumed this was a faulty camera and returned it and purchased another. The second one has the same issue and has now gone through about 3 film packs and 12 sets of batteries (battery plus brand, Duracell, and energizer). The error code still appears. It’s embarrassing to have to mess with the batteries in front of my friends and family just to hope this error goes away or doesn’t worsen. Quality of the photos is a 5, quality of the camera is a 0. This is the first Polaroid/instax camera in my collection of cameras that has disappointed me to this degree. I will also be reaching out to support directly.

This product was delivered and barely worked for a couple of days. I had it planned as a gift, gave it to my girlfriend 4 months after and now I cant return it. Very dissapointed with the product and with the fact I cannot return it.

Great Camera but very bulky
I love the large photos it produces. There are no options to adjust settings to get better photos so I’ve figured this out after 40 photos: Outdoor photos, you take the photo w the sun on your side or in front of you. Best time for outdoor photos w this camera is during or after sun rise or before sunset. Photos in high sun look washed out. Indoor photos need a lot of lights or it will be too dark. I’m very excited about this camera. Every time I use it in public someone comments on it, mainly about how huge it is lol I almost wish I got the instax wide printer, at least I can control the amount of wasted photos with that printer. But this camera is nostalgic and I love not knowing what the photo will look like.
