not a product to be proud of
Sadly, these bags were unusable - they are so fragile that they can't even be opened without them shredding. I was very disappointed in the lack of quality of these bags. This is a product that I cannot in good faith recommend.

Not backyard compostable!!!! False advertising
If you look on the bag it says "Commercially compostable only. Facilities may not exist in your area." If you're buying these for you kitchen composter, don't. They do not break down in your compost pile, you'll end up fishing them out after and tossing them in the trash

Unusable
It's impossible to even open a bag, let alone use it, without it splitting. Terrible quality. I've tried with the most care to simply open it and have it remain intact. I'd love to know from the manufacturer if this is common or do I happen to have a bad batch of bags. I can't imagine how a product could be made and sold with this unusable quality.

Horrible bags.
Worst bags ever. They are so thin that they rip before you can put it on the waste bag. Bought more than once just to see if I got a bad batch, but no. Both not worth anything.!!!!

Try inserting one of these in your garbage box and it tears apart into pieces. We are looking for one that can be used without making a mess.

Bags consistently rip
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked this idea. I love the countertop composter and the first bags I got were really good. However, every time I get new ones, they rip when I put them in. I don't mean small tears in the corners. The bags split all the way down the side. I've wasted about half my order with ripped bags I can't use.

Forced to buy worst product ever
California demanding we buy products like this you can’t even open them and they fall apart. You can barely touch them and they disintegrate let alone put them on your counter or store them with refuse in them. I will never buy this product again.

Flimsy
Bad. Whether the product has changed or what, the latest batch of compost bucket liners is so flimsy that you can’t get them in place without tearing them. You can’t remove them from the little bucket without ripping them further and all the compost material spills out. It didn’t used to be like that.

Composting in an apartment
I am using these bags to collect my vegetable waste and since I have to take them either to my sister's or my pal Mary's compost, I need a bag that doesn't leak or develop holes. These work perfectly. AND they do decompose. 5 stars, definitely. The bag sits right on the counter so is always available. (If you ever have a problem with fruit flies, 15 minutes in the fridge takes care of them - they are not arctically inclined.)
