GAMMA Sports Hellbender Pickleball Paddle

Love my new Gamma paddle. Great feeling grip, weight, and excellent control.

It is a colorful paddle. It is also very fragile feeling when hitting balls. I don't prefer or recommend it if you are trying to up your game with a paddle.

Love this paddle! Great pop. Lightweight but powerful. I keep buying it! Please don't stop making it Gamma! Friends try mine then order one for themselves. Great paddle!

i bought this paddle about a month ago. i really like the feel and the power, plus control i get from using it. the 4 stars are because it did not come with a cover and they did not have any in stock.

Gamma Sports, do not stop making this paddle. After nearly a year of playing with the Hellbender, it's still my go to paddle. The balance of control and power are ideal for the player who enjoys setting up their points. Spin is very good. Being a top spinner, I'm pleased with amount of spin still generated with it. The feedback from the paddle when you hit the sweet spot is ... well, its sweet!

From the first time I played with the Hellbender, I knew it would be my new go-to paddle. I use it for all rec and tournament play! It has great control and pop which makes for smooth dinking and solid drives.

I've used to play with the Compass, but love my Hellbender. I think it has the best touch, while still delivering the pop needed to put away winners. The Neucore core gives it a large sweet spot and great consistency. I'm not the only one who loves it, as several of my friends here in South Dakota have started using the Hellbender! Great paddle!

I've tried Selkirk, Paddletek, ProKennex, and most of the Gamma paddles and I've finally found the perfect paddle for me. I thought I loved a super light paddle but realized the soft game was lacking. My heavier paddles were great for drives and touch but my quick net game was lacking. Now the Hellbender comes out and I realize it's the perfect combination of power and touch game. I also found out that I can never go back to a standard shaped paddle and the extra length is amazing! I love Gammas grips too, perfect medium size and has nice edges. Get one if you're looking for the best all around paddle! I'm 160 lbs, 4.0-4.5 player!

I was a Gamma Shard paddle user but once I tried the Hellbender I quickly switched paddles. Believe me, try it once and you will be hooked. The Hellbender is the best paddle out there. It is a light paddle and it has increased my speed, allowing me to respond to quick volleys at the net. The new unique shape provides a bigger sweet spot for all your shots, increasing my power on overheads as well as improving my touch at the kitchen line. It creates a fervor on the court, and in our pickleball group many of the players have switched to the Hellbender!

Tough choice between the Hellbender and Compass! I've used the Compass for a long time and was excited when the Hellbender came out. I pretty much like everything about the paddle. It has a very balanced feel (more balanced than the Compass), has a nice sweet spot, the graphite surface gives excellent feel and lots of spin when you need it, and I'm a fan of the shorter handle. I like the graphics as well! I use this paddle on those days where I feel like I need a little more help with the 'touch' in my game. Highly recommended!

I love the paddle face design with its bright blue background color. I love the name since it fits my personality. I love the balance that I feel when I play with it. It almost has a mind of its own and assists me in controlling my dinks. The weight distribution just compliments my ability perfectly. I bought a matching Hellbender shirt at the Gamma tournament in Pittsburgh, and I look pretty cool now. Whoever is the art designer that Gamma has hired now is doing a fantastic job.

I love my new Hellbender! It has great control at the net and power when going for shots. Also, I really like the honeycomb grip that Gamma puts on their paddles.

I've been interested in this paddle since the first of the year. I've been a die hard Selkirk user for 4 years. They make great paddles and have an awesome return policy. But I'm ready to try something new. Hellbender is rated one of the best touch/control paddles out there. I've outgrown the slam and smash paddles. Finesse is how you can elevate your game. This paddle suits me well. I love the squared handle. I can position the angle of my paddle without looking down. The elongated paddle gives me a bigger sweet spot higher on the paddle. This paddle is also one of the longest paddles. In a fast pace kitchen rally it means a bigger range. Many of my fellow pickleballers have tried mine and fell in love 💕💕💕.....Make the switch and you won't regret it....

This is a really smart addition to the Gamma family of Neucore paddles. At 7.6 oz, with a sweet spot expanded toward paddle tip, the balance is perfect. Touch/feel at NVZ is precise. Ability to generate pace while retaining control is part of the package.

This is a great paddle. I purchased this about a month ago. I really like the feel and response from the paddle. I have let several other pickleball players try it and they all said they really like this paddle. My wife uses the Gamma Sharo. I let her try it and she loves it. looks like I will be purchasing another one once they are back in stock.

I’ve been playing Gamma paddles for the past five years and the Hellbender is an outstanding addition to the Gamma paddle line. I’ve been playing with the Hellbender for the past two weeks, and I’m sold on it. My precious paddle of choice was the Compass. The Hellbender, in my opinion, provides much more touch and more pop than any other paddle that I’ve played with, if that’s possible. My recommendation to anyone who might be looking for a new paddle, is to give the Hellbender a try. You won’t be sorry!
