Expensive bowl
I usually like Gardein products, so I was really excited to try this one. I’ll be honest though, this bowl is pretty expensive for what you get. I paid $4.49 (before tax), and the portion is really small. It only fills about half the bowl. There were a lot of peas and carrots, but barely any rice or vegan chicken pieces. For the price, it just doesn’t feel worth it. I’m on a budget, and for $5 more, I could buy a small bag of rice, frozen veggies, including a bag of Gardein chicken that would give me multiple servings instead of just one small bowl. Flavor is a bit bland and needs more seasoning but tastes better once you add in seasoning. If you’re trying to save money, this isn’t a good value. You’re better off buying the ingredients separately or getting a full bag of Gardein chicken instead.

Tasty! Not the my favorite variety.
Not as good as the marinara meatball bowl! Still delicious. Sometimes the carrots can get a bit fibrous. I wish there was more vegetable variety. I still keep my freezer stocked with these. It’s a great and easy way to meet my macros as someone who doesn’t eat meat.

A swing and a soggy miss
As a vegetarian of nearly 20 years, from the sad days of a side salad or plain vegetables being the extent of vegetarian food, I've got frankly low standards for meals because it's just so nice to have variety. I love Gardein "meat," so this was an easy purchase. This ranks below the accidentally vegetarian diet pasta meals that you buy because they're on sale. If this had been sold as a stir fry or similar, it would be tolerable if you added any actual seasoning. But as *fried rice*? A massive miss. Microwave rice, cooked to the gooey sticky texture this was, cannot possibly be passed off as chicken fried rice.

Needs more vegetables, less salt
This is on sale so I thought I would give it a go. I popped it in the microwave recommended for the recommended time and ate; the sauce was too sweet. The rice was too salty and for a vegan dish. There was very little carrots or peas. I will be purchasing again.

The taste was fine. Gardein is one of my favorite vegetarian brands and this is consistent with their other foods. However, $5 for basically a cup of food is insane. There wasn't a lot food and it wasn't very filling.

Quick, Easy, and Tasty
I have a mostly vegan diet due to a fairly unknown allergic disease called alpha-gal syndrome, and I am so very grateful to have found these new Gardein bowls in the freezer section next to the other similar frozen meals, of which these have quickly replaced. These were not so good a year -ish ago, but something has definitely changed because they taste amazing now. it's a simple dish, with simple ingredients and makes a great quick lunch. Also please consider just selling that sauce.

Bad texture and cheap vegetables
It's edible, but it's not proper fried rice vegetables, it's the cheap frozen peas and carrots you get from the freezer section, and the texture of the vegan chicken is really bad.
