I have had the watch for about a month. It works well but is difficult to navigate through the functions. They seem to be there but a little confusing on where they reside and accessing them can be a little cumbersome. It could be part of the learning curve. If that is the case, be prepared to spend time getting schooled on how to use the technology.
An amazing watch.

I have a number of other watches; some smart and some not very. smart. This one is amazing for all the functions it has for physical activities. Will a chess function be next?

Upgraded Q6 to 7 now with touch screen it’s a breeze to gather day and change settings. Very quick to respond. Compliment Garmin on their support for users by way of How To articles and Videos. Even for a dunce like me I can really get a lot out of this amazing bundle attached to my wrist.

The watch offers more options than I thought I'd use, I'm using them all. Love the watch. Even though a mens watch, as a female it offers the marine features I wanted. (Didn't see a female watch with the same features) The other options are an added perk.
Disappointing: Screen freezes way too often

For such an expensive watch it is annoying and disappointing to have to reset the watch so often…I do not recommend to buy until Garmin solves this issue!
Nice price

I bought this watch a month ago and am pleased with the purchase. Great battery life and works excellent outside. Definitely worth the price. Do wish the display was Amoled.
My favorite watch ever.

Love this watch. I stay on or near the water. I live by the tides. All I need at the push of a button. GPS, weather, fishing report. It's my info center. Stylish and very practical. A must have for boaters and fishermen.

We utilize the Quatix to pair with the Garmin auto pilot and its great! Besides the fact I can accurately track my sleep/Heart etc. We can't wait to add the Mk3 Decent for our diving soon!

Overall love the watch. Bought it for the marine features and they don't disappoint. I wish the watch face colors were a bit more vibrant. Also getting a lot of security and virus warnings that are independent of my phone and email. What's up with that?

I have been using this watch for the past 20 days. I love the long lasting battery which bring a better product in comparison to an APPLE WATCH that only lasted about a day. I just figured out how to play music on it and it save me the trouble of carrying my phone on my hand or pocket while running. But for me the best is the water usage. I love fishing and I intend to do an iron man some day and this watch has gave me a great feedback with water sports.

I bought this watch so I would have all the data metrics for triathlon, swim, bike run, heart rate, power, cadence, etc. etc. etc. The bonus for me was we plan to take off wandering on our sailboat next year and the marine applications built in are useful. However, didn't realize that it can have snapshots of different data in an instant, barometer, tides, weather, storm alert, and like many watches these days, can be an extension of your smart phone. It will also control my Fusion marine audio and autopilot. I've only scratched the surface of the many features this watch has, and it's going to be fun learning it all over the coming months.
Did not have the opportunity to connect the watch

I bought this as a replacement for my 2013 Garmin whose battery died and you don’t support it any more. During my first use of the Quatix 7 in a sail race this weekend I had several issues. 1. In the Sail app I could start the elapsed sail time/distance screen. But while it was running, I could not bring up the navigation menu so I could navigate to waypoints I had programmed in. My old Garmin kept the elapsed distance running even when I was navigating to a waypoint(mark). 2. When I stopped the elapsed time/distance, I “saved” it. Then I couldn’t “find” where it was saved. Today I found it under “last activity” several menu items below today’s tides, ABC, barometer etc . Not a very convenient place, and I can’t find any reference how to do this in the user manual. 3. After shutting down the elapsed sail timer, I brought up the navigation menu and was able to go to the “stored locations” I had pre-entered. Some comments on this are below. a. My old Garmin gave bearing, distance to the selected location(mark) and also calculated how long it would take to get there based on current SOG. The Quarix 7 gave distance and bearing but no time to get there. b. Others on board for this sail had other GPS units but their “distance to mark” were always about 10% less that the Quatix 7. I believe the Quatix 7 was navigating using statue miles instead of nautical miles. Afterwards, I saw in the settings>format>units the only options are miles or kilometers . How do I get it to navigate in nautical miles and knots? c. I found that if I press and hold the up-menu button from the Sail screen It went to Sail settings>units. Distance was set in nautical miles and Pace/Speed was set to knots . Again, I could not find any of this in the user manual. I just kept hitting different buttons and found it. IF the units were correct there, why are the navigation to saved locations using statute miles? d. I can see how the exercise and running apps might want to use statute miles or kilometers, and mph /kph, but marine apps need to use nautical miles/knots. This is, after all, a Garmin Quatix 7 “ultimate marine smartwatch”

I am a professional sailor. Simple use on this watch is impossible, the buttons are arbitrarily moving me all over the menu, I don't have time when I'm racing to reset to anything. It won't even stay locked on time of day. Waste of good money.

Terrific watch and fitness tracker I'm still learning all the features on. Replaced an old citizen watch I've worn for years. First smartwatch I care for as I'm horrible about recharging and this one only needs charged like twice a month.
