I've been using this shampoo and conditioner for about 15 years, but when I opened the conditioner that I bought at Target on May 23, 2025, it was white instead of creamy yellow. When I used it, it smelled like hair dye, specifially the white cream that you add the dye to. After I used it, my head burned and tingled like hair dye. I had to rewash my hair repeatedly to try to deactivate it, but my head still burned hours later. The number on the side of the bottle is 48Z102. I talked to Garnier several times, and while they requested the bottle back for testing, they seemed unconcerned and said there's no real way to recall the right lot since the lot number only tells them which facility made it. This is a dangerous mix-up, and it doesn't sound like they intend to address it.

I do have naturally pretty straight hair but frizzy. It does help with the frizziness. It’s nice that this product is available most retailer so easy to grab if ever needed.
