It was a budget buy of a power strip when we purchased it but the usb ports only worked intermittently after the first year of owning it and multiple plugs stopped working or just became loose. They wouldn't grip whatever was plugged in and of course in turn would not power those items. It is decent enough for what you pay but if you don't feel like playing musical plugs I'd find a different option. For context this power bar was used for my at home work setup.

I had this in my kitchen with only a coffee pot plugged in to it and we had a power surge and it stopped working. I bought another one and two weeks later, the same thing. Now that is 2 that failed to work as described.

Love how this protector has 5 outlets and 2 USB ports as well to charge your phone. The brushed nickel has it not stand out and blend in with the decor. The safety feature of the outlets is a big plus as well since I have little ones running around. GE is a great brand and always high quality product.

Who would have thought it would be so convenient to have those ports added but its a great feature that makes charging my phone also safe from any surges of power. The cord is 4 ft long so its easy to access and there is safety slides on the outlets to keep little fingers safe also. And the Lifetime Warranty - who could ask for more in a surge protector. The cord length gives me flexibility on where to set it up. And my favorite is the built in USB ports. I sometimes misplace my iPhone blocks.
