I prefer a heavy weight quilt, but i substituted with a heavy blanket for winter.The biggest negative is the width. We have king size bed that sits fairly high and the box springs were showing. I had to put a dust ruffle on the box springs to cover.

I washed according to directions and the quilt was washed separately. Disappointed in the quality. I did contact the company and waiting for a final response.
