The George Foreman submersible grill is a versatile and convenient kitchen appliance that excels in indoor grilling. Guests appreciate its easy cleaning process, as all parts are dishwasher safe and can be fully submerged. The grill heats up quickly and cooks food evenly, making it ideal for a variety of meals, from burgers to paninis. However, some guests find the size smaller than expected, which may limit cooking capacity for larger families.

Worked great at first
This is my 3rd George Foreman grille. My very first one was the mini where you could cook a single hamburger patty, I had that one for forever and it was awesome. Then I upgraded and bought the classic 5 serving grille with the copper colored coating, that grille was great but the coating started coming off after 2 years of use, so then I bought this newer 5 serving grille with the newer grey coating that looks ceramic, I bought this grille in November 2025. It takes a little longer to preheat compared to the older models, it feels like it gets hotter than the others, and within the last couple of weeks (April 2026) my hamburger patties have started sticking to the surface so bad that I have to forcefully pry the grille open and then when that happens the meat starts to tear apart. I’ve tried using cooking spray but that creates a ton of smoke and results are mediocre. I am pretty disappointed with this newer model. Like others have said, 5 servings is not realistic, I can fit 2 full sized patties on this grille, maybe 3. I have only ever grilled patties and chicken on this grille, pretty disappointed with how things are turning out with this model. I feel like I’ll have to end up replacing this one very soon before it becomes unusable. I always hand wash and never put it in the dishwasher.

Worried Customer (Safety Issue)
I purchased this grill in Nov. 2025 and used it 2 or 3 times. It was great. Then I stopped using it because it seems defective. I share my story so others can take precaution if they encounter a similar situation and to alert the manufacturer. The last time I tried to cook, the grill started to heat up and continued to heat up and started making popping sounds and started smoking. The green light never came on. (NO, I did not submerge the control/heating part.). Cooking aborted. I recently tested it again and noticed that it started heating even when the control knob was in the OFF position. It continued to heat up increasingly and reached the max temperature of my thermometer 572F (or 300C). The maximum should be 400F. Hence, I believe it is defective (not safe) and will not be using it. Hopefully, I can easily get warranty service. I should have gotten the Gorge Foreman Contact Smokeless – Ready Grill (removable plates) which my friend owns and has never had a problem.

Was great for about a month
As mentioned by many others, 5 servings certainly doesn't reflect most realistic applications, specifically burgers that fit the size of a burger bun - you will get only 2 at a time. Also, while the concept of dishwasher/submersible plates coupled with the touted 8x more durable coating is great, the reality is that the coating works for about a month and then needs to be sprayed or the food needs to be pried off the grates. Why is it taking so long for the copper version to come out on everything. I have with that coating and it seems pretty good so far.

2 servings, not the 5 that is states
This is like any other GF grill. Great for the price. It is laughable that they say it is 5-serving! You can just fit 2 burgers on it. Maybe 3 if they are very small. False advertising.

Broken drip tray
I bought this grill and the grease drip plate snapped in multiple places. I opened a support ticket (because it was still under warranty), and no one ever got back to me. I am very disappointed that no one reached out, this is still under warranty, and I can't use it because it is broken.

Easy to use and clean! Love this one much better than my old George Foreman grill that wasn’t dishwasher safe.

Great product, with one exception
I have used Foreman grills of various models for many years... I bought the submersible model because of the improvement of being able to clean it along with the other dishes, and have been mostly happy with it. I do have to be careful to position the drip tray just right to avoid some of the juices dripping outside it and onto my counter, but I've gotten used to that. My problem is that the corner of the tray has developed a crack, from top to bottom, and most of the liquid leaks out as the food is cooking. This is very annoying, and makes me not want to use it as much, if at all. That is the only real disappointment I've had with the grill. It's the 5 serving model, and other reviews have mentioned it wasn't big enough to hold that much. I've had no problem with that - in fact, I've put 6 burgers on it at a time - but maybe I just make smaller burgers. Anyway, this would be a *****-star review if it weren't for the crack at the front corner!

Disappointed in the style and features
I got this grill for Christmas. I have used a George Forman family sized grill since they came out. I have own at least 3 previous GF grills and LOVED them and used them regularly. I was so disappointed with this style. I would not call it five servings. We are a family's of 4 and we use this for burgers, steak, bacon, sausage etc. It doesn't even fit a slice of bacon or 3 full burger. It might hold 5 sausages lol but 5 serving is misleading. It is also the messiest grill I have ever used. The catch basin does not catch all the grease, it drips when you open the cover, and it splatters over the sides. I had to find a silicone mat to cook on just to use it. The catch basin is so small that it fills up and it spills every time I go to take it out. Also it separates too easily and sometimes the bottom separates from the heating element when I open the cover. The idea is great for cleaning but it shouldn't do this while cooking. It heats well and cooks well but everything else is so frustrating I don't want to use it .I am going to donate this to my daughters college apartment and get a different brand.

George Foreman, 4 serving Submersible Grill
You have an interesting concept of measurements. It says, "Serves four." No way. One sandwich or two small appetizers. Highly misleading.

The product registration process was very smooth & easy. Only had the grill for a week and have used it a number of time. Easy to use, does a great job - we did steaks, lamb chops and burgers. Cleaned the grill in the dishwasher.

I wanted a grill that really cooks and it does! It heats within seconds, and it is so easy to clean by simply putting it into the dishwasher. The only thing I don't like is the temperature cannot be adjusted.

I bought this for my husband to replace his old sandwich press. He loves it! He says it heats the sandwich all the way through perfectly with no burn spots. It also washes up easily. Buy this one, you won’t regret it.

Easy to clean
The Grill works great. Easy to clean. The only negative I have is it is smaller than I thought. It says it serves four. Maybe if you are only eating four normal size meatballs. I could barely fit two 8 oz steaks on the grill.

Decent, convenient, but smaller than hoped.
I have an older OLDER model of a GF Grill. I can comfortably fit 3 1/3lb burgers on that one with no touching. I can barely fit those same burgers on this one. The size is notably smaller. I thoroughly appreciate the dishwasher compatible ability, makes the cleaning so much easier. I just wish it were bigger.
