Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Oeko-tex certified means that everything from the dyes and fabrics to accessories are tested and verified as free from harmful levels of more than 300 substances.Regarding tie-dye, you can dye this legging by yourself as it's a normal fabric. But we do not recommend dyeing on denim impression.

    Great for shorter kids!

    My daughter is below average height and the regular length Cat & Jack leggings bunch up at the bottom. These hit just above her shoe. I also recommend if your child has chubbier thighs because you can size up and the length isn't crazy long. Buying one in every color!     Size up for comfort but be aware that these are more like ankle length than they are capri or mid calf. My daughter loves them; she wears them under shorts, skirts, dresses, and oftentimes as pj bottoms. We love these capri length ones bc they fit her body better. Most leggings choke your waist, legs, or don’t go up high enough in the lady parts region. This one is a favorite for us!

    A little longer than I'd like

    My daughter basically lives in cat & jack leggings. She wears them with tshirts and sweatshirts, under dresses, to bed.... Its nuts. For the spring and fall I like her to wear the Capri length because of the warmer temperatures. The toddler sizes were just right ij the length, but I find that once you get to the girls sizes they're about half an inch to an inch too long. So much so that we get them mixed up with her full length leggings. Otherwise these are awesome, holding up to 5 year old play and multiple washings and runs through the dryer. If they keep making them, we'll keep buying them.
