I stopped using the plastic housing that it is designed for use with and I use it as a standalone air freshener. I spritz it where I want it. This smell reminds me of a christmas in the 80s when we had a real tree inside and christmas presents under the tree. Love it. It kills off ANY unpleasant smell and fills the area with a pleasant scent, very effective.
