Falls apart and dont cook

I only struggle - 1 month ago
I’ve been cooking with GF alternatives for awhile, so I knew this wasn’t going to be a preferred choice but it was the only option I had (that wasn’t chickpea). The corn and rice blend do not work well together. The texture feels like the noodles aren’t cooked, half the noodles didn’t cook, and the other half over cooked and fell apart in the water. I won’t buy again. I’d opt to not use spaghetti if it came down to only this choice that’s how bad it was cooking with this type of noodle. The taste is fine, nothing bad about it but you’re just not going to get a good dish using this brand/type

Every time I eat gf pasta made with corn I’m down for three days with pain, brain fog and a rash. It’s actually worse than eating gluten. I researched this and I’m not alone. It’s because the corn is GMO and the flour is hybridized. Our bodies cannot handle these toxic foods.

The key to cooking this is to use plenty of water and "fan" the pasta when putting it into the pot and stir right away. I did like the original recipe with quinoa better, but this is still a good choice if cooked with these tweaks.

Having to ditch gluten left me feeling super sad and missing pasta. After trying lots of other GF spaghettis (some with similar ingredients and often at 3x the price), I am so happy to have found G&G! Tastes good and is perfectly al dente every time!

This pasta was delicious. Topped it with pesto sauce and couldn’t taste the difference between this and wheat pasta. Will buy again.

The noodle base sucked up all the water and created a corn or rice type of mush/soup… I’m not sure if this is just how the pasta was supposed to be but draining this “goop” would’ve been hell.

I was looking forward to trying this spaghetti. I even stopped to look at reviews when I first cooked it. it was indeed very starchy and nothing did the trick. I'm not an amateur in the kitchen and I tried my best to make it cook, look and taste good. Not recommended.

Just finding out I’m gluten intolerant was punch in the gut! But I found this pasta and was very skeptical, but I must say it was delicious. I made just a little as it boil it’s more on the rice side so if you know how to make white rice you will be set! After it was cooking roughly 10mins or so I added butter, lemon juice, fresh garlic and some parsley. A piece of salmon on top it was delicious. I can’t wait to try some other gluten free options. Give it a try.

Go with Barilla

If you don’t have much experience with gf pasta, you might think this is ok. I suggest if you have the money, just spend the extra change to get Barilla GF pasta. The G&G GF spaghetti sticks together really bad and is gummy… I’ve tried it a couple of times to rule out user error but I’ve decided I’m not the problem. The G&G GF rotini is pretty good though!

I am usually pleasantly surprised by the Target brand, but this one missed the mark for me. The texture really unpleasant. It instantly wanted to clump while boiling. I had to keep removing clumps to separate the noodles. I will say that my kids were not bothered by the texture. They love spaghetti and meatballs.

Noodles Turn to Paste

1 out of 5 stars
Noodles or Paste - 1 year ago, Verified purchaser
I do not recommend these noodles. I've cooked gluten-free noodles regularly for several years without an issue, but these noodles clump together and eventually turn to a pot full of paste before they are done cooking. I tried these 3 different times, all with the same result. I'll go back to Bonza or Barilla brands that Target also offers.
