Tomato, Basil & Garlic Pasta Sauce - 24oz - Good & Gather™

Good product for the price.

This sauce is super watery and doesn't taste great either. I'm confused by the great reviews. I definitely wouldn't buy again.

I almost never post negative reviews, but good grief... this was somewhere in between pasta sauce and tomato juice. I kid you not, no exaggeration. Super thin and watery. Very strange.

Bad flavor - can't taste basil or garlic, instead tastes like watered down old tomatoes

I like this stuff...except the cottonseed, canola or soybean oils... This is a good product. It is delivered well packaged and offered at a good price. It tastes good and does well in a number of dishes...or simply as spaghetti sauce. However, I would ask you folks to get rid of the modified rapeseed oil (canola oil) or the soybean oil or the cottonseed oil. Both rapeseed and soybean oils are foreign to the human body and the material I read on cottonseed oil indicates that should never be in a food product. The rapeseed oil was modified in the later 1950's as it grows all over many provinces of Canada. They tried many times to force a new hydrogen here, another oxygen there...on the rapeseed oil molecule and came up with a formula that did not cause immediate diarrhea. Once they found the laboratory oil product formula, they renamed it "Canola" oil. This is reported in a number of very good books on the subject. Unfortunately, the modified rapeseed oil does not have good properties for the human body. The body mostly disposes of this oil and does not digest much of it. Lets simply use non-modified peanut oil. At lower temeratures it will gel but we can take it from the jar with a spoon and mix it in the sauce pan. The peanut oil is useful to the human body and works well to improve the taste of the sauce. I am an engineer and not a doctor. However, I have read several books on this subject. I would like to help keep Target in business going forward and would hope we can learn to make our food products better for all of us.

It's okay, but won't be buying again. Will spend the little extra and get the organic version as it has much better flavor (and I don't normally spend the extra on other organic products)

Not received. First order damaged en route "undeliverable" so never received. Replacement order sent but arrived in fully opened box that was damaged and looked like a train wreck to point items had to be brought inside a little a time because unable to pick up damaged box with several items damaged. Refund received and was told would be sent gift card for 10 dollars as apology --- long time before refund funds became available to use again and never got any sort of gift card.

This is a watered-down version of a melted red crayon. No, wait, a melted red crayon would have tasted better. It wasn't very good at all. It had no taste. I was sorry that I put a good pound of all-American ground beef and meatballs in it. In 24 years of my wife's cooking, I have had only 2 not-so-good meals. This spaghetti sauce was one of them. Our household will never buy this sauce again. I put the remainder of the sauce in a pan for the squirrels, let's see if they like it.
