EWWW... STICKY AND PILLS

Gold Bond is my go-to moisturizer, so I was pretty shocked at the performance of this particular product. It is sticky, does not completely absorb, and will pill and make teeny-tiny lotion balls all over your skin. Back to the lab on this, Gold Band!

I've been having problems with my fingers getting so dry and crack to the point that it's getting swollen. I've tried so many products and none of it works. I saw Gold Bond Healing Hand Cream with Aloe. It's the best purchase I did for hand cream!

This is great hand cream to bring with you anywhere. It is a great size to fit in a pocket and to travel with without taking up much space. This cream is so soothing and hydrating for hands. Would definitely recommend!

Really Good But Not Great

I enjoy this hand cream and think it does a great job of healing my hands and keeping them soft, it’s convenient to keep on my desk. There’s no super strong smell which some people like, I personally don’t mind a smell. The thing I don’t love about it is it leaves a sort of tacky feel to my hands while the cream soaks in and dries. But once it’s gone, my hands feel so buttery soft with the 7 moisturizers and 3 vitamins that go into it from the cream. Overall, I’m happy with it.

Since I work in healthcare, I wash my hands a lot. This hand cream helps retain moisture on my hands throughout the day. It’s not greasy and has a light scent.

The formula has changed!

I agree the formula has changed. I happily used the old formula for quite some time. The change was evident the first time I used the new formula. Its feel is different and it does not absorb as well, leaving the greasy feel others have described. Its protection does not last nearly as long as the old. The old formula left my hands soft and protected for hours, even through hand washes. I will not use this new formula. It's also a problem for me that Gold Bond would say there is no change when it is so obvious. Shame on them!

Bad Ingredients

I used to love this hand lotion, but I converted to a different one for the scent. After a while, I realized there were toxic ingredients in the one I was using. I decided to switch back to this as I knew it worked, however, there are toxic ingredients in this as well (petrolatum). It works great to relieve dry skin, but I will no longer be putting this product on my body.

Bring Back the Old Formula!

The formula HAS changed! Just look at the ingredients on the former “ultimate” hand cream and compare them to the new hand cream - they’re different! That’s a pretty blatant lie. And besides, just compare the two. The original “ultimate” hand cream is thick and smooth. The new version is slimy and definitely does not keep my hands as moist. What a shame. I hope their sales drop noticeably enough that they bring back the old formula (think New Coke).

Really great product and very affordable. No oily mess, sinks right in, actually heals and soothes. It is quite thick as a cream should be. The tube is a good size. Just awesome all around. The best drugstore hand cream in my opinion.

Holy grail! Not overly powerful scent and lasts all day even with hand washing. The best full body lotion that truly moisturizes and hydrates your skin.

New formula is a disappointment

Totally disappointed in the new formula. The old formula was the best and I will need to find a new brand of hand cream. I have been using this brand for years and this new formula is awful - why change a good thing! DISAPPOINTED!

Disappointed in New Formula

I swear by ONLY the Healing version of this product and have used it for years. I'm super disappointed... as I track down EVERY LAST REMAINING CONTAINER of the original. Once the label changed... and the ULTIMATE was removed, this product ceased to be ULTIMATELY good! Even the ingredient label shifted - where petrolatum shows up earlier in the list and it NO LONGER says that it penetrates 10 surface layers deep! This product is sticky and does not absorb as fast as the original. My boyfriend had horribly dry, cracking hands because of sanitizers and washing his hands in hot water most of the time... I used the ORIGINAL on his hands for 3 nights in a row before bed and his hands are so soft now. I am taking this new stuff BACK to my store and will be hunting down the ORIGINAL online as much as I can get.

I was a very loyal Gold Bond Hand Cream customer for years. This new version is terrible, it spills out of the tube like liquid hand cream. It’s sticky and doesn’t absorb onto the hands as the previous formula. Why change a wonderful product????

This hand cream is amazing. It helps with dry skin immensely. My hands get cracked during the winter and this is a life saver. It has a very light scent but I wouldn't think it would bother you if you have sensitive skin. Overall I love this product.

NOT The Same

This is NOT the same product as the old hand cream. This is MUCH runnier, does not soak in well, and makes hands very slick. The old kind was much better in all these ways. Will not be buying this again.

Not the same formula as the "Old Look"

I buy a lot of this. My hands go through a lot at work and this is, was, the only product I liked. It was hydrating enough to keep my hands moisturized but light and not greasy so I could still use my keyboard. This "New Look, Same Product" is 100% not the same product. They changed something in the formula and its heavy and greasy. I had to throw it away and have scoured all of the stores for the old stuff and bought them out. Can find it anymore. Super Disappointing. Bring back the old formula.
