We did have some laughs and some oohs and aahs through the entire game. It definitely makes you pay attention to what's going on the entire game. My kids played with their friends and they thought it was good.

Then played it with a group of 8 and we had a blast, made it so much more fun to play and also all the stories that were told about realife situations that were on some of the cards. Just a fun adult game that strikes up even more converstions that will have everyone laughing.

The questions and the answers that were given made this game the best ever!! I suggest that everybody have this game for friends to play!!! We laughed so hard. Better than the other games that we have taken or played in the past!!!

The instructions are vague and not very clear, we found a YouTube video going over the game rundown. It’s something you can play with your boys in a campground but would not play with current spouses

Each round gets multiple laughs from the table. This game is so fun to play. I hope to see extension packets come out one day. We look forward to many years of playing this game.

It would be more fun if you were able to put your own phrases together and make them funny but essentially you’re just matching colors and emojis. We played a few rounds and then moved on to an another game. I would not recommend this game to anyone.

However, I found, in trying this with a group of friends, that the game play was a bit simplistic and chaotic - creating a funny text chain seemed to be the goal, but the pace of how quickly you had to play your cards made that difficult to achieve. I also felt that some of the writing was geared specifically to an ex of the opposite sex and didn't quite work as well for other settings. I can see this being a hit in certain situations with adult beverages and the right crowd - the materials and packaging were well-put together - but definitely not my speed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Texts from your ex is definitely a different unique game! The text cards are really funny and relatable, we all have gotten some of those. It’s easy to set up and play and I can definitely see myself playing for hours. There is so many cards that shuffling them is definitely challenging, and you have to make sure you do it well because they come all together separated in colors. I would recommend it for more than two people, two can play but it ends up im a standstill many times because neither of us had the needed card. So we invented a rule that we pick up a card until we get one we can use. It worked! I would definitely keep playing!
