We have probably 100 children books (acquired as gifts, doc visits, purchased ourselves, so quite a variety) and many of them are not fun to read. The kids enjoy them, but as an adult reading, not many "flow" well. They've been overly simplified, lack context, or just don't have a nice rhythm. This is not one of those. This makes it onto our "special shelf" of books we love. It has a fantastic flow, where I can enjoy reciting it from memory when we don't have the book with us. It is in our top 5 favorite books for sure.
