Due to the fact it’s a board book in my mind that means it’s okay for younger kids. It is not. I found it to be too scary for our daughter. There’s actually one page that has a monster under the bed. I personally wouldn’t buy for kids under 10.

My almost 4 year old and 18 month LOVE this book. It’s not creepy, it is just a silly take on goodnight moon. My oldest has it memorized and likes to recite it to us for story time. We do like to show our kids that spooky halloween things are make believe so this isn’t their first exposure to these tours of characters.

This is my 3 year old son’s favorite book. I’d checked it out digitally from the library a few times and finally got the board book. He sits and looks at it quietly for like 20 minutes at a time.

Too creepy for little kids. The images aren't of friendly happy looking gouls -- they're truly scary looking. I recommend the illustrations for use in a book that's targeted to older kids.

Really cute twist on the classic. I thought my son would love it but he says it’s too scary, he’s 6 and usually likes scary things. I thought he would start to like it, so I tried it again and he asked me to get rid of the book. Ha!

Everything about this book is AMAZING! The pictures have so much rich ghoulish detail and the story is fun. Read this to my daughter every night and she’s always so into the pictures. Love it. Love this book. Hands down my favorite

My daughter loves goodnight goon! We record our books on the app Beanstack (which is also fantastic, if you were wondering) and we have read this book over 70 times. My two year old has even memorized most pages. It’s a MUST buy!
