A: It is not detachable like most car seats. We had to bring the whole thing in when getting sent home from the hospital, it is not easy to move around with but is helpful for spinning in the car to get baby in the car seat.

A: You can turn the car seat whenever you need to get your toddler in/out of it, it is very easy compared to other car seats. The only time it must remain locked in rear or forward facing is when the car is moving with the child in the seat. You can leave the seat turned any way if child is not in it to allow extra room.

When transitioning this model from rear-facing to forward-facing the base of the seat does stay in place but where the lower anchor Latch strap are threaded through will be adjusted and the level indicator may need to be releveled. A: Thank you for reaching out! The Turn2Me Rotating Car Seat has 2 SnugLock areas depending upon if you are using the seat forward-facing or rear-facing. The forward-facing SnugLock is under the back seat pad where your child would rest their back. The rear-facing SnugLock would be under the compartment and seat pad where the child's bottom would be.
