My green mower battery charger needs help

The batteries can mow a 1/4 acre IF you set the speed to the lowest but do a great job I have mowed the yard twice and the result is excellent but it takes a few days to mow my acre as I do need to charge in between mows Now after my 4th charge, my charger lights are always flashing red so I have to guess when the batteries are charged.

Hello Sanna, We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this lawn mower. It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life, here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time. 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily. 4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. 5) Only use the self-propelled feature when needed. Regarding the charger, we are sorry to hear that you have encountered an issue with your charger. Please try resetting it. In some cases that the charger has been plugged in for an extended period, it may malfunction. Simply unplug it for a few minutes and then plug it back in and try another outlet. If you continue to experience this issue, it is likely that the battery or charger may be experiencing a fault. We hope these tips will help. If not, we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please contact Greenworks at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

We love our new electric lawn mower. It is much better than a gas powered one that needs servicing. We like the grass catcher bag and most of all we like trying to save the planet.

I’m a 66 yo widow and this mower makes it possible for me to continue to take care of my yard by myself. It’s easy to start and I haven’t had any trouble with it. It’s been many years since I’ve had to mow and this has made it easy for me to get back into it. The batteries last long enough to do my 1/4 acre lot without a problem.

I have had this lawnmower for 2 days. First day it cut the backyard beautiful and I was excited for the self propelled function. The next the self propelled doesn't work and I've been on hold for and hour with customer service.

Hello JAVAN, We are sorry that you are having an issue with one of our products! With the spring season here, so is our busiest time of year which unfortunately means increased wait times. To start we would advise that you activate the motor for the blade before you activate the self-propelled feature. 1. Start the machine. 2. While you hold the start handles, grab either of the drive levers and pull towards the handle bar. 3. Hold the start handles and the drive levers at the same time. 4. Release either set of start handle and drive lever from the same side. 5. Adjust the speed control with your free hand. • Slide the speed control button in the direction of the Rabbit Symbol to increase the speed. • Pull the speed control button in the direction of the Turtle Symbol to decrease the speed. 6. Release the drive levers to close the self-propel system. Hoping this was maybe a misstep and will be able to correct with these instructions. Should you have any further questions or warranty needs, please feel speak to Greenworks Customer Care at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).

I love the one handle cutting height adjustment on the lawn mower. But the two sets of batteries last only 50 minutes. What a big disappointment.

Hello KC Wu, We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the run time of the 2 combined batteries when used in this lawn mower. 50 minutes when using tow combined batteries would be normal. This unit is advertised as running Up to 70 minutes of run-time* with 4 fully charged 4.0 Ah USB Batteries. It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life, here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time. 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. It has plenty of battery but If the grass is too high or the height setting too low it stalls out. Also if self propelled you need to release it well before backing up Or the wheels lock
Love it!

Great lawn more for my yard. 1/4 acre is mowed easily even at its thickest. Haven't been able to get my batteries to show full charge when installed but it's still plenty enough to mow my lawn.
Self Propelled is an AWESOME feature making cutting the grass much easier!

This is my first battery powered mower. I was a little concerned it would not have the power and cutting ability of my gas powered mowers. There was zero reason for concern. This mower has great power and provides a great cut! I’m happier than I probably should be about a lawn mower.

I’ve had this mower for about a month now, have used it four times and really impressed with how easy it is to use, maintain and store. I recommend this mower if you have a smaller yard, 1/4 to 1/3 acre and want to avoid the smell and mess of using gasoline, oil, pull-start engines etc. at an affordable price. I’m looking at maybe a Greenworks chainsaw next for light trimming and cutting around the home. We’ll done Greeneworks! This is my first experience with your products and you nailed it.

Assembly was easy. Putting the handlebars up and down is easy. It’s a great mower. Excellent deal getting four batteries and two chargers. I don’t even use the full charge of two batteries. It’s an added benefit having USB ports to charge.
Nice even cut, disappointing battery life

The mower itself works very well. Nice broad cutting deck gets a nice even cut. Very quiet. However, I'm disappointed in the battery life. Batteries charged to maximum in the charging deck only show two of three bars when in the mower. Mowing time between all four batteries is also only at about half an hour - which gets me less than halfway through my yard.
