Great game for kids into math

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls, ages 9 and 6, LOVE this game! It is made for kids 8+, but it is easy enough to simplify for little siblings. The game involves moving through different rooms by creating equations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. For kids who are used to starting with an equation, this game flips it on its head and starts them with the answer and forces them to work backwards. For kids who love math (like mine), this is a total hit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game was fun to play with my 7 year old son. It’s basic enough for him to add and subtract and helps him develop the skills of strategic thinking. I’d play with him again. I only took off 1 star because the game was a bit complicated to understand for me the first time I read the instructions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this game for my daughter to help her get more comfortable with basic math skills, and it turned out to be so much more fun than I expected. Secret Code 13+4 is all about cracking a code using math players pretend to be secret agents unlocking safes, but the only way to move forward is by solving math challenges using dice. What I really love is how it combines strategy + basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in a way that’s engaging and playful not intimidating. The game uses a clever mix of numbered safes and dice rolls, so kids have to think on their feet and make decisions with the numbers they roll. It doesn’t feel like homework disguised as a game. My daughter asks to play it without me even suggesting it ,that’s a win. It helps with mental math, number flexibility, and even a bit of logic and patience. Makes practicing math genuinely fun and Great for ages 8+ (though younger math-loving kids can join with some help). Quick to set up, easy to understand and Encourages critical thinking and problem solving Cons: Might feel a bit challenging for kids who are still building confidence in math and Best played with 2–4 players not ideal for solo play.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids are a tad young for this game, but I wanted a way to keep my rising second graders, math, skills, sharp, and this did the trick. We had a lot of fun playing this even with her younger sisters.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had my niece and nephew, both around 8–9 years old, try out Secret Code 13+4, and they absolutely loved it! This game turned out to be the perfect mix of fun and learning. At first, they were a little hesitant with the math part, but once they got the hang of using the dice and figuring out creative ways to reach the number 13, they were completely hooked. What I appreciated most was how it turned practicing math into a kind of adventure. They didn’t even realize they were sharpening their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills—it just felt like they were cracking secret codes and racing to win. The theme of sneaking into a vault to find treasure gave it an exciting twist that kept them engaged. The gameplay was smooth, easy to learn, and didn’t drag on too long—perfect for their attention spans. It was also great watching them help each other figure out different combinations. Honestly, it’s one of those games that feels just as satisfying for the adults watching because you can see the little light bulbs go off in their heads. Highly recommend for kids around 8–10 years old, especially if you’re looking for something that blends critical thinking, math skills, and a dash of strategy in a fun, engaging way!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both my 9 and 12 year old love this game, and I do too because it actually gets them thinking! It’s fast paced enough to hold their attention but still sneaks in real math practice in a fun way. They race to solve equations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to crack codes and unlock the vault, and it’s wild how competitive they get. I love that it challenges both kids at their own level and doesn’t feel too easy or too hard for either one. It’s also great for building confidence with mental math without it feeling like homework. The pieces are solid and well made, and the whole setup is easy to learn and quick to clean up. It’s one of those rare games that’s educational without being boring and genuinely fun for the whole family to play together. Definitely a new favorite in our house!
