A:Â Acacia is a durable and attractive hardwood that is often used to make outdoor furniture. When properly treated with a weather-proof finish, acacia patio furniture can survive the elements for years or even decades. To keep your acacia furniture beautiful for the duration, take time out to provide the pieces with the little bit of maintenance that they require. And when patio season is over, store them indoors under a waterproof cover to keep them protected until next spring. 1.Hose down acacia furniture that is located near a pool or hot tub once weekly. Accumulated chlorine from treated pool water eats away at the furniture's weather-resistant finish over time. 2.Clean your furniture twice annually. Use a soap solution (1 tbsp. of liquid dish-washing detergent diluted in 1 quart of water is fine) and a scrub brush. Rinse twice and towel dry when you are done. 3.Wipe the furniture dry after rain, and wipe up any liquid that is spilled onto the furniture. 4.Place waterproof covers over your acacia furniture when it is not in use. Acacia wood is quite sensitive to moisture, even humidity in the air. When the furniture is moist, the wood cells expand and can cause the furniture to buckle and swell.

A:Â Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. One should avoid using harsh cleaners, use a mild soap solution and damp cloth. Dust and pick up spills by using a clean, non-colored, lint free cloth. And of course, we always recommend all outdoor furniture, especially wood furniture to be properly covered and stored when not in use to extend the lifetime of the item.
