Because the hens have the ability to go outdoors, their daily feed is supplemented by a range-foraged diet, including grass and bugs. The hen’s feed is free of added meat, bone meal or hormones. In addition, Happy Egg hens producing organic eggs are fed a 100% organic, non-GMO diet.

A: Hi Rhonda, our hens are raised on small family farms and are given access to roam freely on over 8 acres of range (this equates to about 21.8 sq/ft per bird)!

A: Hey! No, our eggs aren’t pasteurized but we do have a process where the eggs are rapidly heated (but not up to 100 degrees Celsius as pasteurization requires) and are held at a minimum required temperature for a specified time to destroy bacteria.

A: Thanks for your question! Our Happy Egg farms are located primarily in the Ozark woodlands of Arkansas and Missouri. This region has gently rolling wooded hills for the hens, and a mild climate. This allows the hens to go outside year-round, not just in the summer months.

Last week I had to make a store run for eggs. I usually load up for two weeks when I do my wholesale store shopping. Always opting for the "Organic Cage Free" eggs I knew things weren't quite right with our eggs. They weren't bad but we definitely felt they weren't as organic as advertised. So I ended up at our local grocery store right around the corner from our house and saw they had this brand on sale. I would always typically pass up sales but I had to get eggs and many people were I assume familiar with them and a lady said I should grab some. I didn't want to miss out and grabbed three. Got home and knew right away after cracking a few open that these were different. Each egg's shell was different in shade and the yolks were this brilliant golden yellow/orange'y color, and the taste was incredible! My wife kept going on and on about the eggs and how much they reminded her of growing up on her grandma's farm. I grew up "Country" so I strongly agreed. It seems we've now found our egg provider. Thank you Happy Egg.

These are the perfect snack while doing on keto and because they are organic I know my family is getting the nutrients they need without the added pesticides in conventional feed that the chickens are fed.

Free range means enclosed doors and its only organic when you buy from farmers market direct. You are otherwise buying conveyional!

The yolk is much orange in color than the walmartortarget brown eggs. Being said, I took a class on anthropology of food where I learned CAFOs and I just learned that free range still means enclosed. Sad but deceiving marketing.

Hi, our hens have access 21.8 square feet of outdoor space per bird, and the outdoor space includes 60% vegetation. They also have access to outdoor range for 8 hours each day, weather permitting, and plenty of shelter for nighttime to stay safe from predators. Check out our social media to see our hens in action!

Great eggs but the price is too high. We prefer pasture raised eggs, but can’t keep buying them at this price. The yolk is more orange than the regular white eggs and I think the eggs taste better.

I have purchased your eggs before but recently was blessed with a pack of blue!!!! and brown eggs from you guys. Not only were they beautiful outside but the yolk was the most beautiful dark-orange color. I could feel the happy eggs radiating inside me. Please do not stop sharing your eggs with us.
