Q: I almost bought this earlier today, but neither the box nor three of your staff could tell me: are the films shown in LETTERBOX (preferred) or standard format? I had a similar problem with the ALIEN film series. Why don’t you list it on the box?

A: This information is on the back of every DVD Case- it is listed as aspect ratio, anything other than 4:3 is letterboxed.

Q: what is the difference between dvd and blu-ray

A: The difference is in resolution. Blu-rays are in high definition, while dvds are in standard definition. Dvds can work with blu-ray players. However, blu-ray cannot be played on DVD players.

Dissapointing Purchase
Every disk we tried froze at some point and could not advance past the scene. Up till this point the picture quality and audio was good. Very disappointing and it will be returned. Unfortunately, I have no confidence that a replacement set will be any better. Other movies we bought at the same time worked flawlessly.

Harry Potter is always the greatest escape but...
...this 4K Blu-ray box set falls short in the quality category, with the final two discs (Deathly Halliws Pt 1 + 2) looking rather wretched with loads of noise and a too-muted color palette…After some research looks like the first two films were shot to a 35 mm negative, then the rest shot digitally, transferred to film, then up-rezzed to 4K for this release. Don't get me wrong quality wasn't abysmal just assume the director Yates attempt at creating more grimm experience for the last two films resulted in the annoyances note above. Surround sound mixes are great but not stellar lacking some dynamics and punchy bass. Storyline is as I remembered it after having read the series years back, with the screenplay very well done and characters, especially the All-Star adult film cast, very engaging. Regardless of the quality issues this movie series is still a great escape… Even for this 50-year-old.

Liked them all/ read the reviews and some people say disc 3 doesn’t have Harry Potter. But polar express mine has Harry Potter prisoner of Azkaban sound and picture quality is fantastic worth the money

Missing scenes-- Borgin and Burkes
You won’t see Malfoy get smacked in Borden and Burkes and other defense are missing. That’s disappointing. Not the most clear picture but so far it’s better than fast forwarding through a million commercials. Will update if anything is actually malfunctioning.!
