When scientist Dr. Felix Carmine turns up dead, the facts are hard to find. He’d created a mushroom species that would tackle the growing global issue of trash disposal. But on the eve of the World’s Fair, hours before he’s to unveil his findings, someone decides to dispose of him. Now players must deduce WHO killed Dr. Carmine, WHERE the murder took place, and WHAT was used to kill him. The Clue Escape: The World’s Fair game offers Clue characters and mystery in an escape room game that lets players play right away with limited setup. Players move their pawns around a board that's built room-by-room as they draw cards, solve puzzles, unlock rooms, and uncover clues. After escaping the Fair, they review the collected clues and use deduction to make a correct accusation and win. Get ready for a riveting, single-play experience and a game night to remember! Why so difficult?!
As a family that loves playing the original Clue game, we had a hard time understanding how in the world to play this version. Even YouTube tutorials were like 2 hours long! Way too complicated!

Ok but not worth the 1 time play
The puzzles were fun and made you think, but otherwise this game is just ok. It’s unfortunate you can only play it once because the outcome is always going to be the same.

Don't waste your money
It was entertaining to a point. But it’s a one time play. I really don’t see how you can figure out who did it based on the clues throughout the game. It’s a one time game. So once you play, that’s it. Total waste of money. Now I see on the box as one time play, in small print, but really? What’s the point. Very disappointed. We did enjoy it while playing, halfway through even my 13yr old asked, is this a one and done? We all felt it’s impossible to know who did it.

It’s an okay game.

There is a lot of reading and not too much action. It’s a good story and finding the clues were fun. I feel like this is a game that may not be played very often as it is also pretty long. If you like a lot of reading and story telling in your games, then this is for you.

Clue Escape game

It’s been a great addition to our family game night. The game is made well and materials are durable. Packaging is simple and directions are easy to understand. It was quite easy to assemble. We can play this for hours. So fun!

Fun, but only a 1 time play
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a fun game, but I don't like that you can only play it once. The gameplay lasted about two hours, but once you figure out the ending, it doesn't make sense to play the game again because you know the answer. The put-together board is a bit flimsy, and I feel it will only last for a short time. This is definitely for older kids. My twelve-year-old tried to play it with some of their friends, and they quickly lost interest in it. My nine-year-old is very into puzzle and escape room games, so I will hold on to it to play again with him when he is a bit older.

Long, fun game

However, there are no clues for some of the challenges (monorail and key card) and that makes it hard to solve the puzzle. Overall this game kept 5 adults busy for about an hour and a half. I would try another of the one time solve mystery games in the future.

Great for keeping kids entertained
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I shared this clue game with my kids and they really enjoyed it. The game has a lot of cards and a big puzzle that needs to be built as you play. Also there are small puzzles that need to be solved to keep moving. It did take them a while to solve the game but it kept everyone engaged. Definitely bringing this game for a good game night.

Each clue is cleverly crafted to keep you engaged and challenged. A lot of mystery and excitement. Whether you're a seasoned escape room enthusiast or a newbie, this game is sure to provide hours of thrilling entertainment. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly unforgettable gaming. Only downside is the board itself is not very durable like other board games, easy to assembly but directions are a lot to read.

Modern twist on a classic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids loved this game, it’s a futuristic inspired version of the original which we love as well. The game itself is fantastic and easy to learn. One downside is the quality, it feels much thinner than the original version and I don’t imagine this lasting decades like my old boardgames but would still rate it 5 stars based on the gameplay. Just have to be more careful when storing and playing.

Very different from the original game
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is very different from the original it has an escape room concept. It can be fun if you are into those kinds of games. You have puzzle and narrative cards with this game. There is also puzzle hints in the instruction booklet.
