Steel Town memories
This is an easy read about a town that gave immigrants an opportunity to make a living in the steel industry.
A time when neighbors sat on the front porches talking to each other, while the kids all played together outside.
Bring back great memories of good times.
Reading this book brought me home.
I've always felt that your heart never leaves your hometown, and I'm an avid reader of all things Pittsburgh. The author supplies a great amount of information on the community of Hazelwood, one of many of Pittsburgh's neighborhoods, but I really appreciated how he weaved history with his own childhood stories. Includes a sprinkle of poetry to set the mood. Ahh... the memories of growing up in Hazelwood. I enjoyed this book!
