About the Author

Andrea Chatwin, MA, CCC, is a trauma therapist, author, speaker, consultant, and adoptive parent whose unique insight into child development, trauma, and attachment has led to systemic changes in caring for children who have suffered parental loss. She founded A Child's Song to support children, youth, and families impacted by developmental trauma as well as the professionals they depend on. Meagen VanDiermen, MA, RCC, is the clinical director at A Child's Song in Surrey, BC. She has extensive experience as a trauma therapist and has spent the last decade supporting parents to be active participants in their child's trauma therapy. Meagan provides consultation and education on trauma-informed care to social workers, educators, and caregivers.
