Hearty Vegetable Soup - 24oz - Good & Gather™

Sugar added as 3rd ingredient! Shame on something described as made with a variety of veggies. Someone with diabetes could pick this up as healthful. Vegetables were lovely and not mushy but sugar wrecked it.

Wasn’t expecting much since soup not freshly made can often taste blah, but this is really good. Rich and tasty broth, good veggie level…will likely repurchase since I don’t have time to make homemade.

It had nice big chunks of vegetables in it, but the flavor was very sweet. It didn’t have much flavor besides tangy / sweet. I was hoping for more flavor from the veggies but maybe this is pretty typical for jarred soup. The jar was very nice and will be getting reused for sure. It has nice measurements on both sides of the jar. It was also enough to feed 2 people.

Broth is thick but way too sweet. The vegetable sizes are mixed with a strange texture.

It actually even tastes homemade I served it to my family and they didn’t know the difference. It is filled with high-quality vegetables. It would be served well with grilled cheese sandwiches or it could be served as an appetizer with any dinner. It is perfect for this colder time of year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love a good veggie soup and was excited to try this one. I loved the idea of it coming in a glass jar instead of a can. It seemed like it would be fresher and better tasting. The directions for preparing it are super simple, just like canned. You can microwave it or heat it in a pan on the stove. I poured what I wanted in a bowl and heated it in the microwave. I was impressed with how loaded with chunks of veggies it is. Upon tasting it I found I was right about the jarred soup being much fresher than the canned. The veggies are crisp and not mushy. I really like that. I did not love the taste of the soup though. It has a very, very sweet tomato taste. Much like a sweet spaghetti or pizza sauce. I did not like that taste at all. But I do have to say the quality of the soup is good and it has a ton of veggies in it. If you think you might like a sweet veggie soup then this soup is for you.

Lots of veggies broth is not great very thick and spicy

This is truly the worst soup I have ever had. Somehow too sweet and too peppery simultaneously. Don’t spend your hard earned money on it, and I hope and pray Target will change the recipe.

Very disappointed with the taste of this soup. It tasted too sweet and has too much added salt and sugar. 15 grams of sugar and 1040mgs of salt per serving.

I was actually quite impressed with the sickness of the soup and offer us a really great tomato flavor. I was not a huge fan of the vegetables in there. The potatoes did not cook very well and the beans just had a weird texture. It actually does have a little bit of a spice and the price point was actually quite affordable. Overall can be a great meal.

Nicely packaged in a glass jar I’ll one hundred percent be reusing since it’s got measuring labels. Soup is exactly what you’d expect for a vegetable soup but maybe a little bit on the sweet side compared to others I’ve tried. Great with grilled cheese and will be the perfect lazy meal this fall/winter.

I grabbed this for lunch with crackers and it was perfect. Heart, thick, good veggies, except the potatoe pieces.

Great tasting but a little salty and sweet. Once I dilute it by adding more veg broth, the taste is more to my liking.

Ugh. I wanted a nice fall veggie soup, and started eating this and almost spat it out. It’s disgustingly sweet, tastes like the cheap ketchup they put in Lunchables pizza. I looked at the label - 10g of added sugar!! Target, can’t we do better than this?? The US is having an obesity crisis - why are we adding sugar to savory foods?? It’s nasty and unhealthy.

Very old-fashioned soup, in the very best way possible. It's getting chilly where I live, and I needed a soup that didn't taste ultra-processed. Check, and check. This is delicious, I added a little meat to make it into a hearty meal. Definitely will re-purchase.
