Heavy Crown - (Brutal Birthright) by Sophie Lark (Paperback)

What a way to end a series! 🫣 I mean talk about intense, I felt it acutely in this book. The last Gallo standing really showed up for the mafiosos. I enjoyed most of the story, a few things felt cliche and predictable. Like come on guys!!! The writing's on the wall that some of these moves turning sour were pretty plain spoken, but I couldn't stop turning the page. Lark's characters and writing style saw me through. It was also great to get a brief goodbye with each Gallo sibling (Aida is still my favorite...love you girl! 🍓). I suppose this could be read as a standalone, but it's better to read the other's in the series first since there's lots of cameos from past characters.
