Q: My grandson has a peanut allergy. Are these red and green M & M style candies in the plastic candy cane nut and peanut free? Also are they labeled so on the container?

A: The facility that makes Hershey-ets does have almonds in the facility; however, they are in a different area and there are strict controls in place to prevent cross contact. The facilities that package the different Hershey-et items do not package any peanut, tree nut or sesame containing items on the lines that package Hershey-ets. Damaged candy
The container tubes that the candy is in are fine. Not crushed at all. However, everyone of the 5 that I bought, the candy is all broken up. I cannot give these to my grandkids this way. I happened to be out shopping today elsewhere and I picked up 5 more to replace the broken ones that were shipped. Was really disappointed.

6 candy canes need to be replaced
I had 2 orders of these candy canes. The first order was perfect. The second order was not! The chocolate candies inside the plastic candy cane were busted and a mess. I hope when I bring them back there are still some in stock.

I love Hershey-ets. I hate that the only way I can find them is in the horrible, plastic cane or other holiday themed disaster of a container. Please...please...please...please....Make Hershey-ets available again in retail bags. Stop ceding the entire market to the lesser M&M's and foisting terrible plastic packaging upon the market and our trashed impacted world.
