I’m a fine artist and my kids are junior artists and we love Hey Clay! It doesn’t stick to anything except itself, so no mess on you or your tables. The colors are vibrant and it dries in good to time. The dried texture is soft, which means the kids can make figurines to play with or display. Pictured are my 9 year olds Hey Clay dog collection.

Disappointing execution and a robotic feel
The idea is creative. However, the experience was underwhelming. First, the clay requires significant kneading (about a minute) to stay together, which the instructions did not mention. Otherwise, your models will fall apart. Second, the included tools feel unnecessary. We found ourselves using a pencil instead. I was also disappointed by the app's "instructor." It uses a flat, AI voice similar to TikTok text-to-speech, making the activity feel cold and robotic. While I didn't have to pay for the subscription due to this being a Target set, I wouldn't find it worth the extra cost. Great potential, but it needs more heart.

Fun shapes
My kids love how soft and easy to form a cute animal or any structure they can imagine. Love th colors the tools and how you can go online and form anything. So many kool colors and different and soft. Ot form hard to make ypur deire shape. This was a free sample and my honest review.

Great gift idea
This clay set is better than just air dry clay. It comes with cute faces imprinted on each tub of clay and utensils to help you shape it. The colors are vibrant and last. There is also a code included to link to the app and get a free pack of step by step instructions to build different animals or characters. The clay is soft and fresh when opened. It is easy to manipulate and mold into shapes. My 11-year-old daughter had a great time creating figures.

A huge hit!!
This set is great! We had a sleepover and this kept them occupied for a long time. It was so much fun choosing creations from the box to try. The included instructions made them so easy. We even made some items that were not in the book. A great activity to get little minds going. The set includes plenty of dough. Highly recommend!

Son who loves to be creative absolutely went nuts on this product. Dough was soft before it dried. Even after it dried pieces are still soft and squishy. He didn't want to run out of some of the color but it was a huge hit

A good kit for an hour or so of fun
Both kids had a good hour of fun playing with this clay kit. They borrowed a phone to use the QR code to see the instructions and then went their own ways with designing their own little clay creations with the included tools.

Crafty fun
Definitely for a crafty person. My daughter loves crafts so this has been perfect for her. She has experience using air dry clay which is what this kit includes. 15 cans of air dry clay and 2 sculpting tools and you’re on your way to super cute clay figures. There is an app that helps you create as well. This kit is a lot of fun and provides a decent variety.

Great for kids big and small
This is a great foam clay kit for kids. I love how it’s not super sticky and it’s got a nice, soft texture. My biggest complaint is literally that there’s only one pink. One. My daughter will not hush up about it. The app is cute but I don’t dare to post the atrocities I’ve created for my children as I am a human with no artistic talent and toes for fingers. My kids did get a kick out of them though!

Awesome set and gift!
This is a great set and gift!! Well packaged and great products!! I’m not a big fan of clay but this set is awesome! The colors are vibrant and well made. I also love that it comes with tools. My niece and daughter love it and they are 6 years apart!

Fun air dry clay
My 5 year old really likes this set of air dry clay. There are a bunch of different colors (15 I think). You can either play with it and put it away to play again, or leave it out to dry. My daughter usually chooses to put it away after playing but will sometimes save her projects and allow them to dry. There’s an app you can get to go with it too but we haven’t tried that yet.

Superior to play dough
My kids love this stuff! It molds and shapes great and doesn’t get stuck to stuff like play dough does. I much prefer it over play dough. Comes in lots of great colors and has tools to shape it. It will get hard if you leave it out of the container

Easy step by step instructions
Loved this clay set. My daughter was able to make the little figurines step-by-step just like the app shows her. Very easy to follow and allows her to make very cute figurines. The clay is the softest clay I ever felt! High quality!!

Great clay and instructions.
My kids all really loved playing with this clay! They are ages 3-11, but all 4 of them found it really fun. We did download the app and try the tutorials. There are a lot of fun characters on there, but my kids enjoyed making the characters on their own. The clay is soft and dries very quickly.
