Review Quotes
Selected for the CBC November 2024 Hot Off The Press List.
"A twofer! Well these are fun. Hope you like die-cuts, cause this duo is rife with them. Essentially, you get hints about something on one page but have to peek through their die-cuts to see what they actually are. Think of it as a book that teaches you to look at things in original ways." --Betsy Bird, A Fuse #8 Production, School Library Journal
"Hide and Seek in Nature: Guess What It Is is a unique and creative, interactive book for young children. The author did a wonderful job creating a hide and seek experience for kids to help teach them about natural creatures who also play hide and seek with their camouflage and "hiding in plain sight" skills. Hide and Seek in Nature: Guess What It Is would be a good addition to an elementary science collection, as it fosters curiosity and visual awareness, as well as an appreciation of some of nature's delights." --Cherokee Crum, YA Books Central
"I loved seeing what was under the cut-out page, see the whole creature(s) and read a bit of an introduction who or what they are! We get a fun selection of animals and plants and that made me smile! I loved the last message on the last page, indeed! What will we find next on our walks, on our journeys The art was just the best! Again, I just love how the options were all possibilities I love how everything was drawn." --Mehsi, Blogger
"We love interactive books here! These two upcoming releases are so engaging and fun! With sturdy fold-out pages and clever die-cuts, these two books challenge young readers to learn more about nature and everyday objects over guessing games!" --Fun Reads for Kids, IG
