Shrinkflation gave me only 21 sausages weighing 9.2 ounces after draining
Beware that the weight must include liquid, and that gives Hillshire Farms plenty of room for shrinkflation at your expense. I have bought and enjoyed these for years and never had a pack with less than 26 sasuages--until November 2025. The most recent pack weighted 9.2 ounces after draining off the liquid and only included 21 sausages, which is not even enough to fill 24 mini crescents (from 1 tube of crescent dough) for the popular finger food. Prior to that, another package this month only had 25 sausages. I am extremely disappointed in Hillshire Farm and need to change up my holiday offerings because of this unreliability.

Unappetizing look
Opened up a package of Beef Little Smokies and all of the links has something brown sticking out of the end, or 4 brown spots in a pattern like some kind of manufacturing process . Couldn't see anything on the inside. Very unappetizing, threw the entire package away.

New product change is not appealing. At all!
The new beef little smokies are more like Vienna sausages. Slimy and gross. The appearance is off, texture is off and the flavor is off.

Smokies
What happened to your Smokies? I used to put them in my red beans, but not anymore. They are too soft And I dont want them for breakfast. I have no use for them anymore. I hope you don't change your Polsa Kielbasa recipe. If you do, then I will no longer buy your products.

Great choice for any get togethers
We can’t have any get together with out these guys. Football games and holidays great bite size appetizer. We love these little yummy beef. Love that they are all beef.

2 years ago I could have given a definite 5 star rating. The beef Smokey sausage was excellent and we purchased them EVERY WEEK (52 weeks) YEARLY for at least 10 years. We noticed, in 2024, a flavor change. Not sure whether there were ingredient changes, but THE TASTE WAS near TERRIBLE. My entire family noticed. We thought maybe just a bad batch from Kroger's. But more purchases, no matter the different stores, there was that bitter taste & no longer the authentic beefy taste of legitimately smoked meat. Also the lighter appearance of the BEEF Smokies is different than before, but looks as if dark entry point shots of possibly liquid smoke flavoring is now added. Overall a great disappointment now for my grandkids most of all... No mini kolaches, BBQ Smokies or Kiddie spaghetti.

Not my favorite
Much prefer the “Lit’l Weiners” flavor which is now evidently discontinued…The beef smokies have too much of an overcooked taste and cause heartburn.

I used to but this product quite often I decided today that I will no longer purchase your product. They aren't like the real little sausages that they used to be. They are now little sausages with a highly processed meat or filler with a soft mushy texture when cooked. I have even tried them 3-4 times thinking it was a fluke but no. I have heard the same thing from family and friends who have aways bought your product. I would highly suggest going back to the tried and true recipe or you will lose a LOT of customers as they figure this out like I have. I assume the change was made to save money on your companies part which is SO obvious and disappointing. I no longer associate getting a quality product with Hillshire Brand products. Such a shame since I always had in the past.

Recipe has changed.
I have eaten these for years but this year they don't taste the same and there is a slimy texture in the package. One package was filled with slime and looked like bugs. So i bought another package but there was still a slimy substance.

They are different
in the past several months there has been a HUGE change in the texture of the lil smokies. They no longer have a snappy bite and the casing that is being used now is slimy and off-putting.
