I ordered in early November, received it the next day, and (because I read the reviews) immediately unboxed it to test it. It passed the test. It's now late November and I've finally got my tree in it. It's working great so far. I'm satisfied with it and hope to get a few years out of it. I give it 4 out of 5 stars because my 1" diameter tree wobbles ever so slightly. I wedged some paper shims into the slot to stabilize everything and it's worked okay but not perfect.

Don't even think about it! I really wanted to like this beautiful tree stand.
IT GETS WORSE, the seller Spreetail charged me a $72.49 “restocking” fee to return the defective tree stand! ******************** When I first unboxed it, I was impressed by the sturdy construction and beautiful appearance. I immediately noticed that the round bottom tube was not flat against the floor and it wobbled quite a bit causing the tree to lean. (Yes, I tried it on another floor.) I was willing to overlook this problem and steadied it with several felt pads. It worked well for about two weeks then started to make intermittent noises. Now it degenerated to intermittently completely stopping, starting again then stopping. It finally blew its fuse and stopped working completely. I am sadly returning it. Please see the video.

Loud, choppy poor value
Very disappointed. I bought two of these for our Christmas trees. One is so loud and choppy in the rotations. By the time you get your tree all setup and spend hours to decorate, you don’t want to disassemble it to replace the stand. I feel as though the quality is not there. Regarding the other review of ordering black and being sent green, all the boxes say green but when you open the box, you’ll find they did send you the black color you wanted.

Sturdy
Gorgeous and sturdy stand. Had to return because while rotating it would catch and then fling the tree around the rest of the way. Fit my balsam hill tree beautifully. I’ll likely order another after Christmas when I have more time to deal with returns.
