Q: What is the UL class rating for the INTERIOR temperature? I've seen external temperature withstood listed, but what is the max temperature the inside of the safe could get to during a fire?

A: Safe is designed to maintain an internal temperature below 350° F (for reference, paper will begin to char / burn at 450° F) when external temperatures reach up to 1700° F for as long as 60 minutes.

Overall it's a pretty decent safe, it provides fire and water protection more than intrusive protection. I would not use this safe for valuables or guns, it literally says not to in the manual and the reason for that is, the locking bolts go into a plastic housing, and the clamps that hold those metal locking bolts are screwed into plastic with tiny machine screws. It could be pried open I assume very very easily, which makes me wonder why they went through the trouble of hiding the hinges in the body. I may not have purchased it if I had known. It did arrive dented in a few spots but i expected that with a 110 pound safe, its alot bigger than i thought it was! I wanted an all around safe for fire, water and intrusion protection, but looks like it's one or the other, I'm not a safe expert, obviously I purchased it from target, but this is my observation, so keep all of this in mind!

Nice sized safe for documents and a handgun or 2. Maybe some jewelry too. It's not huge inside, but good sized for a home safe. It is very heavy, that's because of the thick walls. Was easy to program.

Satisfies my expectations for how it was described. Looks durable enough to be fireproof and waterproof as stated. Space inside is much less than it would appear (but I won't complain about thick walls). I changed the batteries to lithium just in case. Worth pointing out is that there are keys that bypass the combination lock in case you forgot it or it runs out of batteries. Obviously the security of how those keys are stored is relevant.
