I've always really enjoyed the horizon whole milk, but
5 out of 5 stars

unfortunately, however, the milk in one of my containers really did not taste right, and I wonder what I should do. I've always enjoyed this milk, but this was a new, but extremely startling and upsetting thing for me. d
I usually buy this brand of milk because it has a better flavor than other brands that are not organic. It also has a longer time span or use by date. However the last gallon I picked up has made me& 2 of my kids sick. I thought at first we had caught a stomach bug that was going around. I woke up in the middle of the night stomach churning & sick all day the next day. I didnt think nothing of it. Monday evening my 2 yr old had a cup before bed& she was sick around 1am & all the next day. So we skipped dairy all together for a day. My son also was sick that evening. Wednesday everyone was fine.Thursday evening after supper I let them both have a cup of milk with their cookies. Late that night sick again. I ended up pouring the milk out. Not sure if it was a bad jug or what. During the week I realized my husband& baby( thats 7 months old; so clearly no milk) are the only ones that havent had any of the milk all week. That's how I was able to finally figure it out.
We have bought Horizon Milk for years. I have a toddler now and we buy way more milk than ever. Recently this week I opened 2 containers of the whole milk only to find at the bottom a (grossly) thick almost yogurt like consistency. I was furious my toddler had been drinking this for a couple of days. I had another container with the same expiration date bought from the same store. I dumped the entire container into a very large glass I had, only to find the same disgusting slop at the bottom of the container. I am VERY hesitant to buy Horizon any longer. I have never had this happen and it was really just disturbing.
I'm a regular buyer of Horizon Organic Whole Milk for years. I never had any issues with the milk until this week. Recently three days back, I bought 7 half gallon containers from the near by store and opened the first one Monday 10/08/18. The milk tasted very different from what it used to be and it is not just for me, but my entire family had the similar experience. We finished consuming the milk in that container by 10/09/18 evening and found at the bottom a thick deposit (almost semi liquid) like substance. We were worried and wanted to lodge the complaint with manufacturer, but had to wait until this morning (10/10) due to off business hours. My complaint has been registered, but not I'm concerned about the quality of this milk. Unless, I get a quality assurance from the manufacturer, I may neither consume nor recommend this product.
Favorite milk and i normally hate milk! I've been drinking the regular milk out the jug and my stomach would hurt whenever i was done drinking it but since i switched to Horizon, i have not had any problems.
My daughter normally drink Oberweiss milk with zero issues and when needed, even other brands. On separate occasions( different vendor locations) she has drank Horizon milk boxes & she vomited. We pegged it to maybe just a coincidence of something else. Today (while out of state) she had Horizon milk again, and sure enough she vomited. Unfortunately we won't be giving it to her anymore.
