Natural cherry wood , no nitrates added bacon discontinue
I don't understand why the natural cherry would bacon was discontinued? That's all I End my friends.ever bought. When gathering for a meal, we always talked about how good it was.Because we would use it in all kinds of things.It made killer green beans. The black label nitrated version we cannot eat. So sad! Please bring back the natural Cherrywood.No nitrates added bacon

Thick?! What happened??
I don't know if this is a product of "shrinkflation" but this is not the bacon that it used to be. It used to be a nice thickly cut bacon and I felt like it was a good value for the price, but not anymore!! Their "thick" is now the thin of all regular bacons. The taste is still great, but when you cook it it absolutely shrinks up to nothing!! It just makes me sad.

way past the date!!! expired raw pork
this bacon is really good - if you can mange to get one that isn’t expired! the meat dept needs to be routinely checking the dates on raw meat items and removing the expired ones. 35 days past the date! inexcusable as this has happened more than once. i used the drive-up service.

We buy this all the time. Then the price dropped, and the product seem to change. It is extremely difficult to cook, and then when it finally cooks, it cooks very rapidly to the point where it burns. The pieces don’t lay flat or evenly in the pan. It’s a constant pressing them down to cook. We have tried the griddle, frying pan, low, medium and high heat. It just is the strangest bacon I have ever cooked. I won’t be purchasing this further. It tasted off and rubbery, chewy as well. Very smoky flavor, but it was the applewood option.

Target sells EXPIRED food via delivery!
On October 26, 2024 Target delivered this bacon to me. It expired on August 27, 2024. So I paid delivery and a tip on top of paying for expired bacon. Now I can only return it by taking it back to a store. Thanks for nothing Target. Heading back to HEB.

Not so good anymore
This bacon at one time was soooo good, now not so much. It has absolutely no flavor at all. It's like eating cardboard. I did try a couple different packages unfortunately each pound was just like the other, awful! Way too expensive to keep trying. Not only that, the other reviewer was correct , it's horrible to cook. It sticks and burns.

Used to be good, not so much anymore
Bacon used to be good. Quality control must have been on vacation when they made the bacon this day. I opened one package and fried it up in the pan like I have for over 50 years. Very little to any grease in the pan, I had to scrape it off a non stick pan. It must be that my non stick pan just quit working today or was it was the bacon? The bacon never shrunk down or shriveled up. Maybe some sort of polymer? Seems like there is an abundance of sugar in it, maybe that's why it burned into a sticky mess.

Yeah, found this pack by accident and purchased it. Turned out to be the best thick cut bacon I found on the market today. Everybody in the family loved it, but unfortunately, it is very difficult to track down where I live.

I have bought this product again and again.
Hormel's Cherrywood smoked bacon is the best! Great taste and meat to fat ratio. Unfortunately, I haven't found in grocery stores lately. Hoping this is only temporary. Will keep checking.

Our favorite bacon, Hormel Black Label thick sliced Cherrywood and Pecanwood bacon!! FABulous flavors. Cherrywood has a note of sweet and Pecanwood a note of smoky flavor, neither overwhelming, just a hint to increase the flavor profile of bacon ( I KNOW!!! I didn't think it was possible either!). NOW...just to make it ALL BETTER than EVER..A ZIP TOP closure on the packaging! BRILLIANT!! Thank you Hormel!!!!

I purchased HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Cherrywood 24oz Stack Pack at a local Safeway in Sacramento, CA. This bacon has a very high meat:fat ratio and is delicious!!! I HIGHLY recommend this for all bacon lovers who want much more pork and much less fat.
