I just bought one of these hot drink bombs for Christmas out of curiosity. What a mistake, it absolutely disgusting, greasy and tasted nothing like hot chocolate. The taste was so bad (artificial, expired margarine flavor) I had to dump the rest after drinking a few ounces from my mug

They don’t taste good not worth it

The taste of the chocolate is extremely, for lack of a better word, disgusting. I love chocolate. I don't love this. The white chocolate bomb was sickeningly sweet. I sprinkled a bit of salt to balance it out and it still didn't help. There's a weird aftertaste with both the white chocolate and milk chocolate bombs. I will not buy it again.

The White chocolate bomb when melted leaves an oily layer at the top and the sprinkles make it an awful color. Doesn't taste good either. The chocolate bomb was bland. I woud prefer the powder hot cocoa to this.

Horrible taste! I didn't believe my kids until I tasted them myself - gross! Plus they expired 12/1/24! I literally just purchased them on 11/15/24.

Loved the taste! I love creamy hot chocolate and this fits the bill.

I absolutely need to make a habit of reading the reviews and not going based off of the stars on this brand. 1/5 and that’s just because it looks in the package. My kids wouldn’t take a second sip and when I took a sip I instantly understood why. You hardly get chocolate out of it and what you get tastes engineered. you have to continue to stir to even get the bomb to dissolve properly.

Super lame. You have to stir to get any chocolate out of it. Only makes 3/4 cup. 4 tiny, soggy marshmallows. Tastes like fake chocolate.

Not much flavor or marshmallows

First of all… when I put it in the hot milk i waited 3 1/2 min for it to do anything so then i poked it slightly and then it just sunk in the milk. Never saw it again while I waited for the marshmallows to rise to the top it wouldn’t rise to the top so I started stirring. Tell me why there was only 3 marshmallows in this cocoa bomb. I used the chocolate bomb instead of white chocolate and the amount of milk it said 3/4 cup and it looks like there was barely any chocolate in there. I tasted it thinking “oh maybe it at least it tastes good!” And I took a sip and that did not taste like hot cocoa idk what it tasted like but those artificial chocolate coins but like a very bland taste. Don’t waste ur money.

I tried pulling up the 3 pack of the merry magic drink bombs that we bought the other day and it will not allow me and keeps saying “error occured” anyways… me and my kids love cocoa bombs and these were disgusting!!!! The chocolate will not melt and was kind of stretchy. I don’t really know how to describe it but it’s like wax and tastes super artificial or old. The sprinkles wouldn’t melt either and the marshmallows hardly did. I even warmed the milk on the stove so I know it was plenty hot enough. I’m so glad I didn’t buy them at full price when they were close to or were $10 dollars for the 3 pack we got. It still sucks to waste 6-7 dollars on something that none of us wanted to consume. If my kids will not eat or drink something I know it has to be foul because they are not super picky. I’m not either and I decided to try for myself and had to spit it out! From now on I’ll continue to make our own cocoa bombs or just melt the chocolate on the stove with the milk. TERRIBLE!!! Such a waste of money!!! I’ll add a photo of one of the chunks of chocolate that didn’t end up in the garbage. It was dropped into boiling hot milk and in the photo it was in the sink as I ran extremely hot water over it and wouldn’t melt. I had to scoop that and the rest out of the drain to put into the garbage.

This just tasted bad. I had the dark chocolate and it tasted very chalky and not good. My husband opened the white chocolate and there was a small sprinkle of hot chocolate powder in the middle. Hard pass

When I received the hot chocolate bombs, clearly right away you could see that the box was banged up. sprinkles and chocolate dust everywhere. But the kicker was definitely when I attempted to drink one of these with my hot milk. Just... no.

These aren't available in our local stores so I had them shipped. However, they looked like crap when I got them - couldn't even tell which was "white" chocolate. Looks like old chocolate - not sure if they melted or froze or what the deal was. Not really worth the effort of taking them back so I'm hoping they at least taste decent.

I decided to drop the white chocolate one in my cup of black hot coffee & let me tell you, it was delicious!
