I bought this one because the gold version was sold out in stores, and I am disappointed I didn’t just order it online. The black coating has been flaking off since the first time I used it.

This curling iron is terrible! I have only had it for 8 months and for a couple months now it has not been doing its job…curling hair. If, by chance, I do get a curl out it, it falls out within minutes. I have used hot tools for awhile, a recommendation from my hair stylist. The quality in their products has really gone down hill!! I would seriously considering another brand. You will not get much use out of this one!

Heated my hair every well curl stayed well into 2 days didn’t damage my hair left in soft and shiny but I did have to use my straight iron to iron out smaller strands that the barrel won’t catch overall easy and fast

No Auto Shut-Off

First, this doesn’t have an auto shut-off if you accidentally forget to unplug it…so beware. Second, it doesn’t grip my hair very well due to the handle already becoming loose after two months of use. I would definitely not purchase again.

Not worth your money. I have typically purchased cheap curling irons and never had an issue. I thought I would splurge on one of these after my hairdresser recommended it. This curling iron is crap. My hair does not glide smoothly through it. It does not curl my hair no matter how high I put it. I barely get a wave when using this. It looks terrible. 100% save your money and don’t buy this hunk of junk.

3b, low porosity hair. I’ve done a lot of research on what to use on my hair and this is the best kind of metal or material or whatever. I have another Hot Tools brand ceramic tourmaline wand. I’ve had it for maybe 10 years but now I have to hold on the on button. That’s a super long time to have a cheap heating styler. I wanted another Hot Tool brand because I trust it now. I had to do a little more searching for this curing iron, believe it or not. But I’m GLAD I was patient. I’m incredibly happy with this. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my hair and this curling iron makes me appreciate my hair even more.

This curling iron is lightweight and has a swiveling cord to make using it easier. You can adjust the temperature to create whatever style you are going for. It doesn't fry my hair, just makes it look great! I like it a lot.
