@whatkelseysreading •R E V I E W• “That’s a pretty heavy burden to bear, being everything for someone.” Let’s hear some commotion for this cover please 👏🫶🤩 because I’m 10/10 obsessed with it and yes it’s why I bought the book! A wonderful surprise that the inside of the book is just as good! And I have another book for you to sneak in during this spooky season! When Iris and her 2 sisters were very young they went missing. They later returned with no memory of what happened and identical half-moon scars on their necks. Years later, Iris’ oldest sister Grey goes missing again and she’s determined to find out if it’s connected to their past, the horned man who keeps following her, the corpse found in Grey’s ceiling, or all of the above? This is a super eerie, atmospheric read, a bit witchy too! I finished it in a day because I needed to know what was happening. Sometimes with books like these you can be disappointed with the “reveal” but I was pleasantly surprised here. I’ll leave it at that 😌 I rated it 4⭐️s - I really liked it! I ended up listening to the audio and highly recommend! It did take me a little bit to get into but once I did I was hooked! Definitely recommend for spooky season or if you want a book that’s creepy and strange but won’t keep you up at night. 💭What spooky/witchy book are you for sure trying to get before October ends?!

About the Book

"Iris and Vivi work to uncover their dark, dangerous, and possibly magical past when their older sister Grey goes missing"--

Book Synopsis

An Instant Indie Bestseller!

A dark, twisty modern fairytale where three sisters discover they are not exactly all that they seem and evil things really do go bump in the night.

Iris Hollow and her two older sisters are unquestionably strange. Ever since they disappeared on a suburban street in Scotland as children only to return a month a later with no memory of what happened to them, odd, eerie occurrences seem to follow in their wake. And they're changing. First, their dark hair turned white. Then, their blue eyes slowly turned black. They have insatiable appetites yet never gain weight. People find them disturbingly intoxicating, unbearably beautiful, and inexplicably dangerous.

But now, ten years later, seventeen-year-old Iris Hollow is doing all she can to fit in and graduate high school on time--something her two famously glamourous globe-trotting older sisters, Grey and Vivi, never managed to do. But when Grey goes missing without a trace, leaving behind bizarre clues as to what might have happened, Iris and Vivi are left to trace her last few days. They aren't the only ones looking for her though. As they brush against the supernatural they realize that the story they've been told about their past is unraveling and the world that returned them seemingly unharmed ten years ago, might just be calling them home.
