This is my Target review for the HP Envy Laptop 17.3” FHD IPS LED 300 nits Display, Intel Core Ultra 7, Touch Screen, Backlit Keyboard, 32GB SODIMM DDRS SDRAM, 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive), Poly Studio, 5MP IR Camera, NVIDIA GelForce RTX 3050 4GB, 17-da0097nr Model. I truly love this HP model. My minimum baseline requirements for purchase were: 1. Fully Upgradable laptop 2. Minimum 32GB RAM 3. Minimum 1 TB storage 4. Touch Screen 5. Backlit Key Board so I can see 6. Minimum 5MP IR camera 7. Largest Screen Display, again, so I can see My experiencing using Apple taught me to buy an upgradable device and a minimum storage and Ram amount so I am not upgrading shortly after purchase. Purchasing a reliable Windows based device from a reliable company I have previously purchased desktops and printers from for years left me with HP as primary choice for my new laptop. PC’s and HP today are different. It’s no longer the simple user interface it used to be. When I purchased my first desktop in my freshman year of law school decades ago, it was an IBM Personal Computer (PC). It was named personal computer because the only software on it was the software I personally installed like Word Perfect. There was no WWW or World Wide Web available to us at that time. Howdie have things changed! Today, with everything so data and storage driven, this HP Windows based PC or laptop gives me the memory and storage space needed along with online security features, HD video presentation, and more. I am thoroughly satisfied with my HP laptop so far. I had an initial glitch with transferring photos to this device from the Cloud where they transferred over completely out of order. A wonderful HP supervisor named Sharon took the time to help me sort it out for free. She showed me how the hardware on this device was all new and working at 100%. That’s why I like HP based on years of interactions like that. It has been smooth sailing since that one glitch, however, I am mindful of all user experiences when making choices for a good laptop. I hope this review was helpful.
It does what it said on the tin.

I am generally a fan of HP products and have had several including a number of laptops, printers and accessories. All have been well made and look good in addition to doing what they are actually designed for. My new Envy 17-da0010na is no exception to that generality and it was up and running only minutes after unpacking. One downside which made itself felt recently is that there is no SD card slot. That is my fault for not checking my shortlist comparison chart closely enough. I thought that I was getting the Envy 17 which did have one. It's no big deal as I can always use the one on my other Envy and then copy to an external hard drive for transfer to this one. Of course it is Windows 11 which you either like or loathe and I fall into the latter camp. I am not to keen on the mains power supply. I do like the fact that it is a C type USB connector into the laptop, but the cable is not very flexible and gets in the way of feet when sitting on a sofa using the computer. The unit is super fast and has lots of data storage.
Early verdict is positive

I had a Spectre but couldn't upgrade to Windows 11, so purchased this one. So far, so good in terms of performance. The only issue that I had was financing, but the computer itself so far has been fast enough, I like the extra screen size and while I haven't used it yet I bought extra TB so I shouldn't run out of space like I did with the Spectre.

Great machine. It runs pretty fast and the graphics look great on this screen. With my external monitor it is a little less saturated but I think its due to the age of the TV I'm using as a monitor no fault of the laptop. It boots really quick as well. I love the backlit keyboard as the color of the keys make it so easy to see even when not using the backlight. It is built tough yet light weight.
I replaced my older HP Envy Laptop purchased 9 1/2 years ago with this recent version. No comparison

The HP Envy Laptop 17, Windows 11 Home, 17.3" reaction time online is good. I agree with some of the reviews the power button is poorly placed, too close to the delete button. I have had to call three techs(incl. 2 HP techs) to solve the problem of losing wi-fi connection and having to shut down and restart the laptop each time to regain connection. I have only had the HP Envy two months.

So far it seems like a good computer. Easy to install. However, the color is strange. I'm still trying how to fix the background color. I is currently a white with a heavy brown tint which is not easy to use. I do not understand why the standard color would be strange.

I've been real happy with the performance and ease of setup of my HP Envy 17.3" Laptop so far. It has some upgraded features since my last HP laptop. The only one I have trouble with is the double screen feature, I sometimes bring it up when I don't mean too, but I like how the lighted keys dim when you aren't typing, to save on power.

Love everything about this laptop, its fast, very fast, i mostly use this for editing photos and videos with some gaming on occasion and it has increased the speed of editing exponentially. The touch screen which i never had before has proven useful. The only thing i would add is a sd card slot, i have to use an external sd card reader which is a little bit of a inconvenience. i have really enjoyed that the laptop has plug ins for my phone cord and it also charges from either a usb or c type cord. highly recommend this for gaming or editing photo and videos.

My old HP laptop needed a new battery, was very slow and was falling apart, literally! Norton says it has broken registries, but won't fix that problem. This new one is better in all respects except Norton says it has broken registries. I do like the feature that recognizes my face to allow me in!
