HP Victus 15L: Almost Perfect, But a Fatal Flaw for Power Users
The system was more powerful than I anticipated. I didn’t realize the Intel Arc A380 was so amazing at AV1 encoding; it was also super cool, with hardly any heat, and it ran extremely well. For streaming and light gaming, this machine absolutely flies. It sips power, so you won't pay much to run it all day, and it excels in thermal management. The RAM was stellar (CL22 Crucial), and the A380 held its own. However, the CPU was the deal-breaker. When I started developing, Docker containers were choking, web engines were slowing down, and even Web UI was giving me issues. I discovered that HP has the CPU locked down with an outdated microcode—a firmware-level lock that prevents the CPU from running at its full potential. They won't allow it to be updated. This is a huge shame. Had they allowed the CPU to be updated, I could have kept the machine and pushed its performance to meet my development needs. I had to return it. If you're a streamer or a light gamer, you will love this PC. But if you need to push the CPU for demanding tasks like software development, the outdated microcode will hold you back. A powerful little machine handicapped by a poor design choice.

My experience with my new HP Victus 15L Gaming DT
So far, I am enjoying the speed and the fact that I can do so many things at once without worrying about the computer freezing or having the reboot all the time. I DJ, and my music library is steadily growing. Having so much storage is key for me.

HP 15L Gaming Desktop DID NOT DISSAPOINT!
I bought this for my son. I am a big fan of prebuilt gaming computers and I thought HP had the best affordable choices without breaking the bank! My son is a big gamer for 1st person shooters and I must say this computer runs so smooth and the graphics card is awesome. I will confess this is my first HP experience, but I am going to buy another one for myself in the near future!

Please remove the bloatware
It's a great computer but the bloatware has to be removed before it performs at peak.

So Far, So Good
My Victus 15L has been great so far. It's quiet, it stays cool, and it renders impressive graphics. Believe it or not, having four USB slots in the front and another four in the back is a little tight, given all the peripherals I hook up to it. I purchased a USB hub to give me more slots in the back. I'm not a fan of the power button because its slender shape is difficult to press with a finger. I find myself using my fingernail. But I love the clean white look, and the fact that the tower can be used horizontally is vital.

Very Disappointing
Very disappointed. This desktop computerr had numerous problems: (1) audio out did not work. (2) would not index files3 (3) was very slow opening files, especially with the internet [my laptop and my wife's laptop had much faster response at the same time], and (4) the keyboard was very cheaply made and the keys were very noisy. The good news is that I was able to return the computer to HP, at no cost to me, for a full refund

The perfect computer to work from home
I am very pleased with my new computer, as it perfectly meets all my requirements. My previous computer was set to lose support for Windows 10 after October 2025, making this upgrade essential for continued functionality and security.

I recommend the Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02-2000t. Great starter gaming computer.
It's fast and is working out great for me. I use it all day everyday. No issues at all. My nephew uses it for his gaming and he says it works for him.

Not a guru!
I haven't had this computer very long. But as of now, I wish I can easly configure Windows 11. I like the classic style; easier to navigate for us old guys. I guess that's a learning skill I'll have to invest in. Since this is a family use computer in our living room. Where all can see what's going on. I guess it's alright. I should add I don't trust other computer brands. With that, I am satisfied. Thank-you.

Windows 11 in HP trying to run Oracle Virtualbox
They need 4 slots for RAM since going from the original 16GB you have to buy two 16GB to change it to 32GB which is the least this should have and when you do that you are removing the 2 new 8GB ram and nothing to use them for........and as far as Windows 11 and this pc it refuses to allow you to run Oracle Virtualbox no matter what you do from Bios to security and sever clean installs of VB.....and I have 20 years experience running Oracle Virtualbox (and I know all of the Windows settings and turned the other versions of VB off)........I also have a new laptop from HP with 28 threads and 32GB ram and it also will not run Oracle Virtualbox......but no problem doing that with Windows 10 version and they are all HP also.
